Where is Nnamdi Kanu?

Where is Nnamdi Kanu?
 By Okonkwo Isaac Somto
(For Family Writers)

Department of State Security (DSS) has mocked the Nigeria high court by refusing to release the Director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, just as it did with that of the magistrate court, Abuja about two months ago that sparked off demonstrations nationally and internationally, which also left many people dead and others wounded.

The agency on Friday, practically sniggered at the orders of Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja, that the IPOB leader be released unconditionally.
Nnamdi  Kanu was not able to regain freedom after the court pronouncement on Thursday, because his lawyers were not able to secure the enrollment order from the court.

But armed with the document, they were able to approach the DSS today, only for the agency to rebuff the order on the ground that the Director General was not in the office and practically ordered the legal team out of their Abuja office.

Nnamdi  Kanu would likely spend the weekend with the DSS. Till Monday before they decide if they will release him. I don’t know why this is happening in this country. Why should these people choose to operate as if there is no law in this country? For how long will they continue with this? Is there an agenda they have that they don’t want the people of this country to know?

Everybody had thought that they would use this court process to cool the entire polity. About 15 IPOB member were killed and 50 injured yesterday for celebrating the announcement that Kanu has been released. Recall that the magistrate court had earlier released him and they refused to allow him go only to rush to the Federal High Court, which finding no prima facae case against him, released him unconditionally. What are they then playing at? This is the question Nigerians and the international community must now begin to ask, before things get out of hands. This country called Nigeria is a place where law and order does not exist.

President Buhari, has yet again decided to be a dictator and a one man general, because he does not follow the constitution. He breaks the law, he violated human rights law by ordering the arrest of Nnamdi kanu and also commanding the Nigeria armed forces to fire at unarmed Biafrans protesting and denying them the right to express their rights. This is not democracy this dictatorship. Nigeria is a country that ought not to be existing; they cannot stop biafrans from gaining their freedom. So Biafrans till monday before we know what's next. Let's keep our fingers crossed and let's stay on alert, and keep observing what the DSS and Buhari are up to.
