Obi Ubulu-uku: Buhari commences elimination of Biafrans

The death of murdered Akaeze Edward Ofolue, the Obi of Ubulu-uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, is not only being felt in his home town and by his Ubulu-uku people alone. It is equally paining many people, especially Biafrans, all over Biafraland and abroad. The Ubulu-uku monarch was kidnapped in the evening of January 5, 2016, by agents of the Nigerian state who masqueraded as Fulani herdsmen. They kidnapped him along Obior/Igbodo road while he was riding in his Land Cruiser Jeep with a young Christian aide.

Since his decomposing body was discovered last January 20, great mourning have overtaken Biafrans, especially leaders and members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who saw it as a big blow to their struggle. Known also as Agbogidi, Ofolue is being mourned by IPOB because he was one of the hardcore supporters of the Biafran course.
Akaeze Edward Ofolue, the Obi of Ubulu-uku
Ofolue was a lawyer, a businessman, and a strong Christian with the Deeper Life Bible ministries. He is also a strong believer in education and freedom for anyone and any people that desire it.

By his murder, Ofolue became the first prominent victim of Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari’s new strategy to stop the Biafran freedom struggle. The struggle has taken such an international dimension that the Nigerian President and his officials are now scared-stiff of the prospect of Nigerian break-up under his presidency.
Come Thursday, January 28, all Biafrans in Europe will gather at Brussels, Belgium, the European Union (EU) headquarters, to demonstrate for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader and Director of Radio Biafra. They will also be suing for the fullsupport of the EU for the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra.

Buhari’s latest plan, which IPOB leadership learnt some few weeks ago, was to commence an isolation and elimination process of influential Biafran leaders, which they termed “taking out the fuel from the fire”. They believed that if prominent leaders and supporters of the struggle, mainly those at home in Biafraland, were eliminated that the fire of agitation will automatically die down.

IPOB leadership is seriously suspecting Delta State Police Commissioner, Baba Alkali Usman (a Northerner), and some other high-ranking Police, Army and secret service personnel of having a hand in the kidnap and death of the monarch. IPOB has decided to mount serious investigation to know what happened, and to determine the level of involvement of every officer of the Nigerian state in the whole incident. Just as the Obi’s murder marks the beginning of Buhari’s implementation of his new strategy, a siege going on now at Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, marks the beginning of concentrated onslaught in a Biafran town to undermine Biafra restoration effort.
Last week, the Nigerian Army contrived a story, claiming that an unknown individual picked up their gun and made away with it. Since then, they have been combing the town, searching from house to house, claiming to be looking for the gun.

But what they are doing is use the opportunity to arrest and torture, and even to secretly kill, Biafrans who have Biafran materials in their homes. That was how a seven year school girl, who was coming back from school was killed. Right now, anyone who has Biafran flag, banner, currency and any other material with Biafran colours is in danger of being taken away and murdered secretly. A curfew has unilaterally been place in Aba by the Nigerian Army, which ordered the people not to be seen outside their homes after 9 PM. Army personnels, armed to the teeth in full combat rigs, are parading the town and threatening the people that anyone seen outside after 9 PM would be shot dead.
Meanwhile, the leadership of IPOB worldwide has urged the people to remain calm and not give soldiers any reason to kill innocent Biafrans. They said the intention was to provoke the people to violence, and then use the opportunity to murder innocent people.

  1. Military and military actions, isn't the way to solve problems in a democratic environment,by the end we shouldn't forget that as human beings we have rights to self determination, weather we like it or not,the only thing that is permanent in life is change, and we shouldn't keep on causing more wounds instead of healing the old once. It will damage more of our relationships in future,no one knows tomorrow.

  4. And now there's no reason to doubt that military regime has not come back to existence in Nigeria again but one thing is certain,... Pharoah and his subjects Egyptians(Nigerians ) cannot stop the Israelites (Biafrans) from entering our promise land no matter what they do to us. All I want from my is to be calm. God is watching, the whole world is watching.
