THE MEDIA WARRIORS: HOW ARE THEY?

THE MEDIA WARRIORS: HOW ARE THEY AND FARE
Written by Ifeanyi Chijioke
(For Family Writers)

The struggle for the restoration of Biafra is an ideology rooted in passion. Biafrans freely and gladly embrace it, we put in everything we have, that was also why we suddenly made Uwazurike rich. I recall a poor farming mother, who sold all her farm produced and paid her then accumulated  monthly dues, she told us, hence Uwazurike will bring Biafra, let him use my sweat and get it for us. Today, the war for Biafra is divided into two, media war and the land or street war. Protesters are the street or land warriors which even the media warriors join, protesters are crucial because they set the battle for media warriors to finish.

Interviews are conducted and investigative journalism IPOB practice leaves us going from one state to another. Sometimes we disguise ourselves to get the best report to articulate articles with, the hectic commercial transportation and noisy passengers sometimes leave us scattered or distressed that we can't work. Journalism needs total commitment and for our total commitment we are winning the media war. Most of us resigned from our previous jobs and find it hard to buy laptops, phones and other necessary equipment for journalism.

After sponsoring our other trips by ourselves to various places for interview, we find it hard to go on another trip due to finance, a trip to Enugu for Obetta and to riverline for Biafrans like Asari Dokubo and others to address IPOB and reaffirm they are more Biafran than Igbo speaking Biafrans pending indefinitely. Equipment purely lacking, encouragement nowhere to be found and yet we are winning the media war. Two notable journalists for weeks have been away due to bad internet enabled phone, three rarely come online due to lack of finance for internet subscriptions. We that breathe with our last strength do the cover, quadrupling for our work"Emeka Gift give us equipment, help us with MB, or even only equipment, we can endure hunger since we resigned our jobs for Biafra"

They would scream on him, i often pity Emeka Gift and secretly lobby for a halt. There has been a total alienation of Biafran journalists since the arrest of our leader even as the need or demand to look at us has not been duly communicated to our deputy who in absence of Kanu carries IPOB. There must not be circumstantial prevarication or relentlessness; media warriors must be given guns and bullets to stand the zoo media warriors that feed lies and evil.

  1. I think its high time we remind PMB that he is now in agbada and not in khaki as he used to be...Though i am a bonafide citizen of this great nation and I also belief in the betterment of our country but please can someone tell me the reasonable reason behind the unlawful detention of Nnamdi Kanu....What does this man want to turn nigeria to? Are we really in democratic era or totaliarialist...???It seems we are being controlled by juntas..God bless nigeria....
