MASQUERADES AS WITNESSES: WHO ARE THOSE IFEAJUNAS?

MASQUERADES AS WITNESSES: WHO ARE THOSE IFEAJUNAS?

By Ifeanyi Chijioke

(For Family Writers)

If money can be more important than the 3.5 million lives lost in 1967, l will be happy to see who said that. Biafrans are still being murdered everyday and Nnamdi Kanu came out to say that the 1967 3.5 million death will not be in vain, he came out to say our people will stop dying.  Now our killers who feel that Kanu is a bad business to them have vowed to nail him, they even told us that our own brothers will assist them kill our brave. I am happy I will finally see those men, let me see those Ifeajunas’ that I may have a story to tell my children.

When the prosecution council came up with the application to try Kanu in secret, I was saddened as I could not comprehend the reason we cannot know how our leader that was accused in public will be prosecuted. Their intention was to make mockery of the trial and finally tell us that the trial judge has sentenced Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment as a result of the confessions of the witnesses. Media houses would be barred from covering the case and I was not surprised none of the Nigerian media houses cried foul. Now Justice John Tosho could not find a reason to grant Buhari his wish of secret trial. I cannot wait to see the so-called witnesses.
The reality is before Buhari must have decided to bring in masquerades as witnesses against Kanu, it could be there is no human being found to stand witness against Kanu. If indeed Kanu has committed the alleged crimes, if indeed Kanu deserves no praises for peacefully agitating for Biafra, then let those men that want to stand witness against him be bold and fearless to say otherwise. Let them tell the world that for not killing and destroying things, he has committed treason and let them tell us how he committed the alleged treason.

If those so-called witnesses cannot openly and freely stand witness against Kanu, then they have a skeleton in their cupboards. They are convinced that they are not doing what is worthwhile and so want to avoid shame upon their families because they must surely go like Ifeajuna. They have judged themselves and then seek to be non-existing, who are those men that will stand witness against innocent men and women murdered in Aba, who are those men that will stand witness against our marginalization, who are those that will stand witness against the 3.5 million Biafrans that died in 1967 genocide. Who are those men that will say for talking on the radio instead of carrying arms that Kanu has committed treason? We are waiting for them because as much as the world know, Kanu is whiter than white.

What will those witnesses that seek to be masqueraded look like, their personal life and history? Will Ifeajuna of this age emerge? Will men really have the heart to trigger this havoc waiting to shoot? Will they really aid injustice against innocent men losing their lives every day in the hands of the Nigerian military? I am very much curious to see the witnesses and then see how posterity will judge and sentence them. There is a name I never heard again, in our land nobody bears Ifeajuna as a name and everything concerning Ifeajuna vanished after his deed, his generations denied him and all his link was severed for the sake of disgrace. Some people have not really learned anything, love of money is still driving them to eternal condemnation and so be it if they choose to do the work of the devil.  If the so-called witnesses are real, then the reason for hiding their faces is clear, they are men with questionable character that are rejected in Quasi-judicial setting, then how can such men be given chance to stand before a competent court. They are not short of criminals with bad history and so sought to be in mask that we may never question their past or the court rejects them on basis of character demerit.

Meanwhile, the denial of secret trial is the key to justice, let all parties be given fair treatment. Let the Ifeajuns’ be seen that we may know them and mark them for banishment in our land, yes they would live with Hausa/Fulani and enjoy their murderous nature and culture. They have always used us and killed us in the end and sadly we have not learned our lessons. Standing against Nnamdi Kanu is standing against everything good and lawful, standing against millions of Biafrans, standing against millions that were killed in 1967, standing against families of people massacred in Onitsha, Aba, Asaba, Port Harcourt etc. We wait to see those unkind men of the night, those men that have sold their conscience’ to money and evil. We wait to see those men that are tools in the hands of devil, who for no apparent reason kill and hurt truth. The simple truth is that Biafrans will not resort to violence for any reason. The Ifeajunas’ of our time that want to stand witness against Ojukwu of our time shall kill or assist the imprisonment or death of him, but let woe betide them that his death or imprisonment shall be better or sweeter than their lives.

  1. Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

  2. These witnesses are men of questionable character who had given false and fallacious witnesses against their community leaders in land matter.
One of the money corrupt lady who was bought over by DSS and Dictatorial Govt of Buhari was billed in to testify as a former member of IPOB. The lady and her friend are lured into this silly prosecution with money just to bear false witness against Nnamdi Kanu.

  3. I have started appreciating Justice Tsoho since court denied secret witnesses. However, bringing camera into the court room or allowing Media into the court room will do us a great justice.
