WE ARE FREEDOM FIGHTERS NOT MILITANTS

WE ARE FREEDOM FIGHTERS NOT MILITANTS.

By Chima Onyekachi

For Family Writers.

General Ben and Precious Iyoyo (aka General playboy) have demanded for the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The duo of freedom fighters has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to desist from killing unarmed protesters and should concentrate on curbing the menace of the Boko Haram Islamic militant. General Playboy implored the United Nations (UN) to prevail on the Nigerian government to allow peace reign in the country, freeing Kanu and allowing Biafra to have its sovereignty.

Suspected divers hit a Shell underwater pipeline last month, interrupting oil flows and forcing the company to shut down its 250,000 barrel-a-day Forcados export terminal for weeks. Security experts say the attack showed a level of skill and inside intelligence rarely seen since the 2004-2009 insurgencies by then militants which at its height halved Nigeria’s oil output of around 2 million barrels a day. This is a clear warning of what is to come if President Muhammadu Buhari continues to illegally incarcerate Nnamdi Kanu and the continuous militarisation of Biafraland.

Asari Dokubo has also began to enlighten Ijaw brethrens on the truth and origin of Biafra and he must continue without fear or intimidation.

The Organisation of Emerging African States (OEAS) that has called for a peaceful referendum but has been blatantly ignored by the Nigeria government has also called on all Biafrans to come together and struggle for their independence and defend themselves against Nigeria’s supposed violence. Ubulu-Uku clan had their king kidnapped and slaughtered by Fulani Herdsmen without trace, the Idoma and Igbanke people are been slaughtered and their lands occupied by Fulani Herdsmen, the Ogoni People had their land invaded by Nigeria armed forces which resulted in deaths and destructions, the creeks in Ijawland is been occupied by the Nigeria army and police intimidating indigenes in their search for Ekpemupolo Tompolo. In Aba, Onitsha, Port Harcourt and Enugu, peaceful protesters are been shot boldly by Nigeria armed forces.

I am not advocating violence for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra but let it be known that in the face of violence, the Ibibio,Idoma,Ijaw,Igede,Igbo,Itsekiri,Igbanke,Isobo(Urohobo) and Efik people will defend themselves. For the ignorant persons, when we say "Biafra or Death" it simply means in the face of death we still want Biafra and does not in anyway entail that we will begin to act violent without provocation. Our peaceful protest in the face of brutality is a testament to our peaceful nature and not a show of cowardice. Indigenous People of Biafra are clamouring for their freedom and must get it in whatever form that deem fit

  1. Since all our clans are now in a way United...we should send group message to the man in power to set out leader free as we do that let's not delay in protecting our territories and block incoming force as we clean up inside and stand tight, but before that we should remember those abroad ready to fight for Biafra and call them home.
