BRUSSELS PROTEST: BIAFRANS TO HIT EUROPE TOMORROW

BRUSSELS PROTEST:  BIAFRANS TO HIT EUROPE TOMORROW

By Ifeatu Osegbo

For Family Writers

The continuous detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra London Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigerian Government is not only illegal but a clear infringement on his basic human right and a clear contravention of the UN Laws acknowledges the rights to the existence and actualization of Indigenous People.

Lately, the Nigerian Government has amongst other things, violated court order for Nnamdi Kanu’s release on bail, licensed the police and army to shoot indiscriminately at unarmed protesters, killing them and several other actions that they were well targeted to violate the right to existence of Biafrans.
On this note, we Biafrans in Europe has planned a mega protest in Brussels, Belgium to sensitise the whole world of the heinous crimes being sponsored by the undemocratic government of Nigeria and also demand the unconditional release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

It would be recalled that Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped by the Department of State Service on the 14th of October 2015 and since then has been incarcerated. Nnamdi Kanu has been to court several times but the Nigerian Government has demonstrated in recent times that they are not willing to let him go. This is very evident in the several unnecessary adjournments of court cases and violation of court orders.

With this development, we are all encouraged to storm the Shuman Roundabout in Brussels, Belgium to tell the world the predicaments of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans in general. Also, those who cannot make it to the protest are advised to call the EU Parliament in Brussels to protest his detention and secure his release.
Date for this protest is the 28th April 2016 at the Shuman Roundabout in Brussels. Time is 11am till 1pm.

  1. My heart goes to all Biafran in Europe , God will bless and strengthen you guys for all the sacrifices.Again let us keep our eyes on the dice which 8 actualization of Biafra nit release of Nnamdi kanu.
Yes Nnamdi is detained wrongly but his detention has helped Biafran agitation tremendously .As long as govt is keeping him the world sees our justification for the demand for Biafra.
I love a nnamdi and appreciate his suffering and sacrifices fie this struggle but Mandela was detained foe 27 Years, Obj was detained for 4 years but all later became president.
The primary purpose for mass rally on Europe is Biafra demonstration but Nnamdi release is key factor too.
