APPEAL COURT UPDATE
By Ibeh Gift Amarachi
For Family Writers

Following the hearing of bail appeal filed by appellant Nnamdi Kanu, which took place on the 5th of May 2016, at the Court of Appeal Abuja and was adjourned to an unknown date,by the presiding Judge Justice Adume Moore,an unacceptable ruling against the bail appeal filed in appeal court was made today been the 25th of May 2016 by Justice Abdul Aboki who presided over the case today.

In the hearing presided byJustice Adume Moore on the 5th of May 2016,he stated "This case is a very complicated one,on that note it will be adjourned. For now,i wont give out any date for ruling. The date will be passed on to the both counsels".

It is very unfortunate to state that,Justice Abdul Aboki gave out the date for ruling at the late hours of 24/5/2016,taking both the appellant Citizen Nnamdi Kanu and his counsel by surprise.

In an interview granted by the appellant's counsel Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor to Family Writers reporter Ibeh Gift Amarachi he stated; "IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT NIGERIA IS TRAMPLING ON THE RIGHT OF MY CLIENT,BY REFUSING TO GRANT HIM BAIL. IT IS REALLY ABSURD THAT APPEAL COURT DECIDED TO MAKE A RULING AGAINST THE BAIL APPEAL WE FILED. TO TELL YOU,IT WAS LAST NIGHT BEEN THE 24TH OF MAY,THAT APPEAL COURT GAVE US AN INFORMATION ABOUT TODAY'S CASE. INFACT WE WERE VERY SURPRISE WHEN THEY PASSED THIS INFORMATION AT LATE HOURS. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WE SHALL TAKE THIS CASE TO SUPREME COURT. MY SISTER, THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE".

Based on the ruling against Citizen Nnamdi Kanu's bail appeal, the counsel of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu, will file a case to Supreme Court Of Nigeria according to his counsel and the date of hearing will be conveyed to the public.
