Angela Rayner, a Labour British Member of Parliament and a Shadow Pensions Minister has again, demanded full explanations from the British government regarding their roles on helping Nnamdi Kanu- a British citizen and the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, who has been incarcerated by the Nigerian government since October 2015 with accusation trailing that he is under intense Human Rights abuses.

Angela Rayner who tabled this demand during a Parliamentary session in London had earlier in March assured hundreds of IPOB protesters who gathered at the Parliament square in London for a peaceful protest that she would be doing everything in her power to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafrans whose rights are being grossly violated by Nigerian government are not starved of justice.

She has met severally with IPOB leadership and some of her Biafran constituents in London due to her sympathy for the predicament of Biafrans in Nigeria.

Angela Rayner's demand at the Parliament House on Tuesday 24th of May, is coming months after Nnamdi Kanu had written to the British government demanding for the protection of his human rights which is grossly under threat in Nigeria being a British citizen.

In series of tweets by Mazi Uche Mefor, the Deputy leader of IPOB and the Deputy Director of Radio Biafra, he immensely thanked Angela Rayner for her good works in ensuring that justice prevails for Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans in general.

"@AngelaRayner You performed excellently well today @UKHouse of Commons. Thank you for raising the Human Rights violations of our leader, Nnamdi Kanu"

"... The people of Biafra appreciate your humane representations for our leader, Nnamdi Kanu at the UK Parliament. Excellent performance." Uche Mefor stated in his series of tweets to Angela Rayner.
