CAN NIGERIA SURVIVE ANOTHER 3 YEARS UNDER BUHARI?

CAN NIGERIA SURVIVE ANOTHER 3 YEARS UNDER BUHARI?

Former General and military dictator, Muhammad Buhari assumed power in May 2015 as a democratic president but there is nothing democratic about his administration since he came into power. Violence, suffering, killings, dis-equalisation, economic destabilisation, unemployment poverty and increase in crime rates has been his contribution so far. Nigeria economy has collapsed flat and foreign investors are no longer willing to invest in Nigeria. The naira is dropping rapidly and becoming valueless. Mohammadu Buhari promised to make the Naira strong, he said he will make the value of N1 equal to a dollar; in short, he made false promises just to get into power and when he won the presidential election, he gave Nigerians the assumption that change has come. He said he will fight corruption, once he got into power instead he made the most corrupt individuals in Nigeria his cabinet members.

The education value in Nigeria has fallen below standard because of poor funding, poor implementation of educational policies and programs and poor attitude to school-work. Unemployment in Nigeria has sky rocketed under his government, thousands of Graduates don’t have jobs and are now forced into a life of crime. Crime rate has risen by 80%; poverty is now a norm in Nigeria. Fuel prices have gone up and no longer have a stable price in a country that produces oil. Nigerian youths have no future, because unemployment and crime has been the order of the day in Nigeria. No infrastructures and no stability, corruption is now a norm in Nigeria. Corruption has eaten up the country to the extent that her structure revolves around it. Buhari so-called anti-corruption is just mere propaganda and a witch-hunt. Nigeria is fast falling apart.

Ethnic cleansing is once again resurrected by president Buhari and the drums of war is becoming more lauding at each passing day in Nigeria. Yes, nobody wants war but who would prefer getting shot at the head and also been slaughtered like animals? The Nigeria Army alone is accountable for the death toll of over 4000 unarmed peaceful Biafrans protesters in just a year into Buhari's administration. Not to mention the terrorists and savages that call themselves "Fulani Herdsmen" who are also responsible for the death of over 1,500 Igbo-Biafrans in just a year president Buhari came into power. President Buhari have vowed to keep killing more Biafrans as long as their blood is used to keep Nigeria together. Buhari, is really out for blood. We keep saying, we do not want war, but violence is what the Nigeria government understands. In fact, even the British government only seems to be interested in the affairs of Nigeria only when things get really bloody and out of control. Right now, the situation in Nigeria can still be controlled and managed if president Buhari is called to order. Biafrans have kept their cool, while been on the receiving end of violence from the Nigeria government but the question now remains, for how long will they continue to remain calm? Granted, they are trying very hard to be diplomatic but that doesn’t mean they are fools. Yes, I said fools because that is what president Buhari is taking them for.

On the 30 of May 2016, Biafrans gathered in their large numbers to celebrate their fallen heroes who died in the Nigeria-Biafra civil war. They marched to Nkpor, in Biafraland in a peaceful movement only for them to be intercepted by the Nigeria armed forces, who started to open fire at them, killing over 70 and arresting over 200. This is not the first time such a thing has happened, and it doesn’t look like the last. This is simply an act of war and it’s become very clear that President Muhammadu Buhari is waging a serious war against Biafrans. He started by unlawfully arresting the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (Nnamdi Kanu) and started rubbing it in the faces of Biafrans, boosting about how he will continue to hold Nnamdi Kanu hostage and there is nothing anybody can do about it. President Buhari seem to be getting this whole situation twisted because he believes killing Biafrans will make them stop their fight for self-determination, but he’s wrong. Biafrans are ready to die for their freedom and they have shown that so many times but that doesn’t mean they won’t defend themselves to get it. If the killings of Biafrans continues, then the Nigeria government should embrace themselves for what is about to come next. Buhari, must understand that he’s asking for a war he cannot win. If the war he’s pushing so hard for should start, he should be rest assured that no help will come to him or his government, not even Britain will have the power to stop what will befall him. Now, this is not a threat but a trend. Biafrans are like a wounded animal, they are fighting for their last breath and trust me when I say they will fight till the very end. Now my question still remains: Why haven’t Britain who started all this nonsense come to their senses to admit their horrible mistake of enforcing an amalgamation in the first place? Do you know that since the forceful creation of Nigeria, bloodshed and corruption has been the order of events? For goodness sake, if Biafrans wants to go, let them go!

The last time Biafrans asked for freedom from Nigeria, over 3.5million of them were massacred in a genocidal act committed by both the British government and the Nigeria government. Nigeria foundation was solemnly built on the blood of innocent Biafrans. When the country was on the blink of collapsing in 1967, the British-Nigeria government, made sure they used the bloods and bodies of Biafrans to keep the country together. Fifty years later, Biafrans are asking for their freedom and instead of trying to even dialog with them, the Nigeria governments through Buhari, sends their armed forces to shoot and kill Biafrans. Nigeria is going to break-up that’s for sure and Buhari's government is also helping, by speeding up the time. It may take a month, year, two years or three years from now? It doesn’t really matter. Thanks to Buhari a split is imminent soonest.
