WHAT HAS BUHARI AND HIS NIGERIA GAINED FROM INCARCERATING NNAMDI KANU?

WHAT HAS BUHARI AND HIS NIGERIA GAINED FROM INCARCERATING NNAMDI KANU?

Buhari

Our people always say that when a snail is roasting itself in a raging fire, it thinks that it is quenching the fire. President Muhammadu Buhari and his Nigerian government has chosen to be the snail. To Buhari, "that one called Nnamdi Kanu came into the country with sophisticated broadcasting equipments", "Nnamdi Kanu was not born during the civil", "over my dead body should I grant Nnamdi Kanu his freedom.". Buhari has never hidden his hatred and disgust for Nnamdi Kanu because the young man has exposed and destroyed all the grand plans to overrun Biafra land, Islamise the entire people and exterminate those who proves stubborn.

While it is certain to all and sundry that Buhari has failed woefully in all aspects of governance ever since his inception as Nigerian President, it is a well known fact that his biggest blunder was arresting Nnamdi Kanu. It is a burst on the bounce for the former military dictator, just like the suicide of a child that is not even a year old.

Sighting Nnamdi Kanu in Nigeria, especially in Lagos was a golden opportunity which Buhari and his DSS thought should never be allowed to be swept under the carpet, but they never pre-empted the impending cataclysm of playing into the script written by of their most wanted foe.

There was no tangible reason why Nnamdi Kanu was arrested. Junketing from one form of kangaroo charges to another, Buhari's DSS were even more confused than Buhari himself. The incoherent and unreasonable utterances of President Buhari during his media chat on December 30 2015 in which he tried to justify the disobedience of his government to court injunctions that had severally granted Nnamdi Kanu unconditional release, simply shows that he is hell bent on sending the innocent man to jail or worst still eliminate him. Even if it means turning the constitution of Nigeria upside down. Hence it is not surprising that supposed democratic government will accuse someone publicly and demonise the person through their paid media cohorts, but when it comes to the point when the accused will defend himself publicly as well, the government will resort to secret trial. Nnamdi Kanu's travail has exposed Buhari and his government as an embodiment of modern tyranny.

Now Nigeria is drowning just because of the arrest and incarceration of a man next to the heart of millions people all over the world.  All of a sudden, everybody in Nigeria began to realise that the continued existence and bonding of the British invention called Nigeria is an epitome of fiction. Even the politicians are now beginning to accept the fact that Nigeria is a country that should never have been.

Nnamdi Kanu's incarceration has transformed him into a global figure to the extent that the Americans renamed him "BIAFRAN GEORGE WASHINGTON". The European Union are asking what is going on, the British parliamentarians are raising concerns, international human rights organisations and media are wondering to what extent rule of law is being respected in Nigeria. Organisations in Nigeria are even dolling out awards for Nnamdi Kanu, having seen that he has been right all along.

There is no need telling Buhari and his Nigerian government to thread carefully on Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans because they have missed the thread already. Nigeria as a ship is blessed with blind and lame Captains. The ship has lost control over the tides and currents of the sea. The ship is not only sinking, it is on a collision course with what could have been averted. The world is obsessed of this impending shipwreck, but Biafrans are already on a life jacket. Nnamdi Kanu has made the utmost sacrifice.

The fact that Biafrans are angry with Buhari as a result of the atrocities he committed during the civil war and his Jihadist tendencies, has only been multiplied a hundred fold as a result of Nnamdi Kanu's arrest and incarceration. Buhari is not just incarcerating Nnamdi Kanu, he is incarcerating millions of Biafrans whom Nnamdi kanu represents.

Buhari has transformed Nnamdi Kanu into an ideology. Many are now willing to die for Kanu and raze Nigeria down. Nigerian politicians, including Buhari are now afraid to travel within and outside the shores of the country just because of the unjust detention of one man.

Nigeria's economy is being crippled by the Niger Delta freedom fighters because Buhari's government has failed to meet one of their major demands which is the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu.

Nigeria has been divided more than ever, as peace has eluded the country ever since Nnamdi Kanu's abduction in October. The country has migrated from one plague to another, the leaders have been inflicted with astonishing confusion on what is really going on, because the voice of truth is in chains.

The truth remains that the catastrophe of arresting Nnamdi is yet to come into completion. The more Buhari holds him, the more Nigeria is destroyed.
