AVENGERS- OUR MEMBERS NOT ARRESTED, WE'LL MAKE NIGERIAN FORCES A GLOBAL LAUGHING STOCK

The most sophisticated activist group in the Niger Delta region of Biafra land- Niger Delta Avengers has severely warned the Nigerian security agencies to desist from propagating and disseminating false information to the members of the public, by claiming that some of its members were apprehended.

In a Press statement published on Sunday morning and signed by their spokesperson, Brig. Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, the freedom fighters stated that all of their chain of command and members remains intact, even as they revealed that those whom the Nigerian Navy claimed to have arrested are ordinary inconsequential spies planted by the Nigerian military to monitor their activities in the region. The Avengers noted that the reason for clamping down on the individuals and blackmailing them as members of NDA is as a result of their failure to justify millions of naira that has been lavished on them by the Nigerian government in a desperated bid to expose their activities.

"We made it clear that the Nigerian military is using sleepers' agents to track or checkmate the activities and operations of the Niger Delta Avengers. But the more they try, the more they run into crisis with their employed sleeper agents.

"Stanley Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye that were arrested and paraded by the Nigerian Navy in Delta are few of the sleeper agents working for Nigeria military in conjunction with one Ayiri Emani and Michael Johnny.

"The suspects (Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye) was paid 5million naira to give Nigeria military intelligence on the activities of NDA. On failing to deliver, the suspects were arrested and tagged NDA members. What a shame!

"Since we(NDA) started the struggle none of our operatives has been arrested. All those in detention in the name of NDA are not part of NDA and the world should know this." the Avengers stated.

In the same vein, the activists who reiterated that their major goal is to cripple Nigerian economy and not engage in any confrontation with the military, has promised to decorate the Nigerian military as a laughing stock to the world if they do not desist from further killings and clamp down on innocent civilians in the region in the name of looking for their members.

"Nigerian military have not seen embarrassment. NDA will keep embarrassing you because the only thing you are good at doing in the Niger Delta region is arrest and killing of innocent citizens of the Niger Delta in the name of looking for NDA and illegal oil bunkering.

"If the Nigeria military is serious about arresting NDA, they should come to the creeks of Niger Delta. That is where we dwell not the city." the Avengers noted. Going further they said-

"The reason behind military harassment of towns and villages is because NDA has not confronted the Nigerian military in battle. We are not sacred of confronting you. The creeks of the Niger Delta belongs to us so defeating the Nigeria military will not be hard for us.

"We have made it clear in many occasions that our business is to cripple Nigeria economy and not kill the military. The Nigeria military should not think that we(NDA) avoiding them is a sign of weakness."

Also, the Avengers took out time to tell the elders of the region not to be desperate in asking the Buhari led government to dialogue with them. The activists described Buhari's government as "not reliable, reasonable, responsible and not ready to dialogue".

"We respect you our elders, as such stop behaving as Niger Delta is a seized region, and stop acting like you begging the government for dialogue. The worse the government will do is to bombard our villages and towns in the name of looking for NDA. So our elders should trend carefully with the Nigerian government." the Niger Delta Avengers stated.
