FAMILY WRITERS INVESTIGATIVE VISIT TO ATAKU OVER FULANI ATTACK

The community of Ndiagu, Attakwu, Akegbe-Ugwu in Nkanu-West Local Government Area of Enugu State, was thrown into shambles following the invasion by Armed Fulani Herdsmen with machetes slaughtered a Catholic Seminarian, Lazarus Nwafor and several others. This attack was carried out on the 26th of August 2016.
After the senseless and callous attack that took place in Ataku, Nkanu West local government area of Enugu State by Fulani herdsmen which led to the death of a seminarian who was killed at the spot and one Mrs. Ifeanyi Agbo, her mother and the younger sister miss Amuche Agbo were seriously injured by the Hausa Fulani Herdsmen. Family Writers journalist took a visit to Enugu state. There were those who sustained serious injuries as a result of the deadly attack and were rushed to various hospitals. According to an eye witness who spoke to BTV CREW and Family Writers, Mr Ifeanyi Agbo, his pregnant wife and younger sister who were victims were rushed to the Mother of Christ Hospital and Enugu State University of Technology Teaching Hospital respectively where they are currently receiving treatments. The villagers expressed their sadness over the incident and cried out to the Enugu State government for help. Another eye witness told the Family Writers that this present attack would make it the third time they are witnessing such barbaric attack by the same Fulani herdsmen in the community.
While filing this report, some of the harmful objects used by the herdsmen on the victims were still at the scene of the incident. It is pertinent to note that this cruelty by the Fulani herdsmen is becoming rampant and unbearable in Biafra land. In spite of all this mess, Buhari and his cronies still turn deaf ears to those concerned. This barbarism by this terrorists called Fulani Herdsmen is been encouraged by the silence of president Buhari who have refused to do nothing since this rampage started.
