OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT PUTIN: RUSSIA WILL BENEFIT FROM BIAFRA

Dear Mr President,
This letter is not written in a spirit of hate, disrespect, nor is it motivated in any way by racial bias but its written with high regard, respect to your office and also the tremendous tasks that has been laid on your shoulders.
I write this letter because am a born Biafran who has experienced and witnessed the brutality, cruelty and marginalisation of my people in a country that has forcefully deprived them of their freedom. From 1945 till date, millions of Biafrans have been massacred by the Nigeria government. As a result of the senseless killing of Biafrans particularly in July 1966, Biafrans decided to defend themselves and opted out of the forceful alliance between Nigeria. Late Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, a military officer and Biafra leader, announced a breakaway of the Eastern Region under the new name Republic of Biafra. The British-Nigeria government couldn't allow this because of the oil wells in Biafra Land.
They were the ones benefiting heavily from the oil wealth in Biafra land, that was why they (Britain and Nigeria) decided that the oil wells in Biafranland was worth the lives of over 3.5million Biafrans. The Federal Government of Nigeria and the British government declared war on Biafra and between 1967 and 1970, more than 3.5 million Biafrans were massacred, mainly women and children died of starvation. This genocide was only second to the Jewish Holocaust. Mr. President, is very much certain that you are a man of great intellect, so I believe you are very much enlightened about the Nigeria-Biafra war.
Mr president, just like most other African countries, Britain grouped people together for governance without respect for their religious believes, cultural background, and ethnic differences which keep resulting to political, economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions. This is why after more than 50years, Biafrans continue to seek secession from Nigeria because the killing, fiddling, deception, ostracism directed towards them hasn't ended. Nigeria continues to terrorise Biafrans in a bid to convert them to Islam and make them slaves for Northern leaders, under the pretence of "One Nigeria".
Mr President, Biafrans request your immediate intervention to prevent another Biafra genocide which is already on going in Nigeria. In just two years into President Muhammadu Buhari adminstration over 5000 unarmed Biafran protesters have been killed, over 2000 still missing and over 1000 jailed all because we are asking for a sovereign state. All these acts were carried out by the Nigeria Armed forces under direct command from Gen. Buhari. To back-up my claims, Amnesty International also carried out an investigation that confirmed these atrocities been carried out against Biafrans by the Nigeria Army, but tragic enough, no one has been brought to justice. Mr. President, Biafrans can no longer remain in Nigeria, we have our rights to self-determination and to a sovereign state, that's why we Biafrans are calling out to you for help. Mr. President, Russia is among the few nations that protect and stand for the rights of maltreated people and individuals all over the world.
Mr. President, Biafrans look to you and Russia to help stop the massacre of the Biafran people by Nigerian government. Even Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), is a prisoner of Buhari's dictative Administration, just because he's a Biafran asking for freedom and self-determination for his people. He has been in illegal detention, undergoing inhuman treatment and torture at the hands of the Nigerian government since October 14, 2015. Sir, Biafrans call upon you to take interest in this matter as quick as possible. All we want is freedom. Freedom to grow our own economy, build a better future and freely worship our own God without fear and intimidation. Biafrans are simply requesting you to speak out on our behalf, using your power and influence to call the attention of United Nations on the need to allow Biafrans vent their rights to self-determination.
Mr. President, it seems to me that you have little faith in Biafran ingenuity, Biafran capability, Biafran exceptionalism and even Biafran patriotism. But I can assure you that Biafrans are ready to fight to the death, if their freedom is refused. If getting our freedom means another war then we are ready for war but right now we are trying to act diplomatically, that's one of the reasons we are asking you to help us resolve this peacefully. Mr President I have great reason to believe that your support for Biafra would also benefit Russia in stupendous ways. Mr president if you must know, apart from we having oil wells in Biafra lands, Biafra has many other natural resources, including coal, limestone, steel, Salt, Glass-sand, Phosphate, Gypsum, Uranium, Manganese, Marble, Kaolin, Lead zinc, Amethst, Iron-Ore, Sakt, Berytes, Gem stones, Clay, Gold etc. Agriculture and technology, are also other areas Biafrans are endowed. Biafrans are very hard-working, intelligent and resourceful individuals, for example, the "Ogbunigwe", a cone shaped, cylindrical cluster bomb that disperses shrapnel with percussion was invented by Biafran scientists during the Nigeria-Biafra war.
We were also able to build airports and roads, refined petroleum, chemicals and materials, designed and built light and heavy equipment, researched on chemical and biological weapons, rocketry and guidance systems, invented new forms of explosives, tried new forms of food processing and technology. Biafra home-made armoured vehicle the "Red Devil," was a red terror in the battle field. Mr president, Biafran scientists were able to invent and achieve all these in less than three(3)years, now imagine what Russia and Biafra could achieve together as a Nation if given our freedom. Nigeria as a whole depends on the wealth of Biafrans and their resources just to survive. That's why Nigeria cannot comprehend the thought of letting Biafrans go, instead they prefer the marginalisation and enslavement of my people. Mr. President, another war between Nigeria and Biafra won't benefit Russia, instead it will cause more unpredictability and fluctuation not just in Africa but the world at large.
So Mr. President, I humbly ask that you call for the equal rights for Biafrans to lawfully exhibit their rights for self-determination and also to safe-guide the release of our leader Nnamdi Kanu.
