THE RISE AND FALL OF REV EJIKE MBAKA AND THE STORY OF THE INFAMOUS BAT.

The spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillus Mbaka started his early life well, the priest who was born in a poor home in Amata Ituku in Awgu LGA Enugu state was reportedly to have joined his father on his occupation of palm wine tapering business during his early stage of life. Rev Mbaka who is the son of Humfrey Ogbufi Mbaka had no record of stupidity and barbaric-controversy during his early-life, seminary-life and ordination period, but however, there is historical insanity in the linage of Humfrey Mbaka's family. Awgu legend has it that in every generation, a male child in Mbaka's family is to experience mental disorder, especially in his 40s. Since Rev Ejike Mbaka is the only son of the family, there were great anxiety within the family and Awgu after his ordination in July 1995 and beyond.
During his early ministry as a priest, he(Rev. Mbaka) seems to be faithful, diligent and upright, speaking against the presume corrupt politician in Enugu and preaching the supposed gospel of Jesus Christ. His face-off with the former governor of Enugu state Chimaroke Nnamani between 1999 and 2007 won him popularity among Enugu resident. His critics against Chimaroke Nnamani was seen as the only thing Rev Mbaka have ever done correctly and hence won him popularity, though limited within Enugu and environs.
During these periods, Rev Ejike Mbaka congregation of Adoration Ministry grew in population. There were expectations in all quarters that he will take the advantage of his new popularity and move towards the right direction, but rather, he disappointed everyone by his sudden reverse in attitude. Rev Mbaka saw his new position as an opportunity to acquire money and fame at the expense of his own people, he by started dining and collecting money from corrupt politicians and criticizing only those who refuse to cooperate with him. However, there were commotion among his Kin-men in Awgu, with many questioning his strange attitude, some believe it could be a mistake while others cast fear over the genetic insanity that runs in Nze Mbaka's blood.
Rev Mbaka went too far, when he spoke against IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu while supporting Buhari which precipitated his down fall and subsequently condemn him to be our INFAMOUS BAT whose people(the Land-Animals) were in fierce battle with their enemy(the Flying-Animals). The Bat vowed he must have a share a in the spoils of war and can never be on the losing side irrespective of the side that wins. When a massive assault was unleashed on the Land-Animals, the Bat renegade, joining the Flying-Animals to crush the Land-Animals, his own people, in a bid to make sure he benefit from the spoils of war. Like a revised train, the Land-Animals bounced back, pushing back their enemy, attacking the Flying-Animals with a master strategy which brought them to their kneels. Seeing that their (Flying-Animals) kingdom has fallen, the Bat jump back to his own people, but his people (Land-Animals) chase him away and ostracized him, while the defeated Flying-Animals also rejected him, they both call him THE INFAMOUS BAT.
Just like the above INFAMOUS BAT, Rev Fr Ejike Camillus Mbaka renegade at the critical stage of the war, when Buhari-DSS kidnapped the Leader of Indigenous Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Rev Mbaka believed that with Mazi Kanu being incommunicado in the DSS dungeon, it's a lost battle for IPOB and hence he(Rev Mbaka) joined forces with the enemy(Buhari), encouraging him to keep killing IPOB peaceful protesters, he said the protest is evil and any Biafra engaging in it should be killed. He affirmed that his share of the spoils of war which includes position of CAN president, fame and money shall not be compromised. But just like in our INFAMOUS BAT story, IPOB bounce back, pushing their enemy back and destroying every stronghold. They made great inroad internationally and at home which finally brought Mohammadu Buhari to his knees. Seeing that the game have changed, Rev Mbaka attempted jumping back to the side of his people, the Biafra, but just like THE INFAMOUS BAT, he was chased away and ostracized.
Biafra is a spirit, any man born of a woman who speaks against it must fall. Several appeals was made on behalf of Rev Mbaka by his Kins-men, pleading that IPOB and other Biafra should forgive him, with many drawing sympathy from his mental illness as a good reason why IPOB must forgive him and avert his downfall.
