BIAFRA FREEDOM INEVITABLE AS NIGERIA HEADS TO ABYSS

BIAFRA FREEDOM INEVITABLE AS NIGERIA HEADS TO ABYSS

By Chukwudi Mufti
For Family Writers.

The rain that beat Africa began Five hundred years ago, from the "discovery" of Africa by Europe, through the transatlantic slave trade, to the Berlin Conference of 1885. That controversial gathering of the world's leading European powers precipitated what we now call the scramble of Africa, which created new boundaries that did violence to Africa's ancient societies and resulted in tension-prone modern states.
It took place without African consultation or representation, to say the least- PROF. CHINUA ACHEBE'S THERE WAS A COUNTRY pg1.

If the Berlin Conference scaled her fate, then the amalgamation of Northern and Southern protectorates inextricably complicated Nigeria's destiny. Animists, Muslims and Christians alike were held together by a delicate, some say artificial, lattice.

In an unmistakable terms, Nigeria has been proved unworkable by Sir Frederick Lord Lugard's remark that North and South are like oil and water that can never mix. In 1948, Late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Belewa declared that since 1914, the British government has been trying to make Nigeria into one country but the Nigerian people themselves are historically different in the backgrounds, religious beliefs and customs and do not show themselves any sign of willingness to unite.

Britain in a bid of interest made the worst experiment by patching up a contraption of disparate ethnic and religious groups into an unworkable nation just for her own interest.

The amalgamation of 1914 defiled reasoning and conscience because it was he (Sir Frederick Lord Lugard) who made it clear in the first place that North and South are like oil and water that can never mix. Then, there is no sense in merging them together to form an entity which is merely a geographical expression- Nigeria.

There are natural means by which nations emerge but the British experiment- Nigeria neglected the ancient kingdoms and Nations that would have been on their own. Those nations were forced against their will to answer Nigeria in the neglect of the differences they have with each other which is a sure threat for survival of any nation, it became a nation state, and, the only thing in common with her citizens is the name of the country. The name which was so alien to the indigenous people of Nigeria.

Name alone cannot serve as a bond and tool for unity in the face of religious, tribal and ethnic differences, plus the value system. The amalgamation became a fraud, a chaos that lead the geographically expressed area- Nigeria in a state of hell since its creation.
It became a certified hell, the worst place for mankind. From the look of things, if the slave ship return today, people will not be forced into it, it will be like a dream come true to many Nigerians who has been longing for runaway ticket. People do try by foot to enter Europe today, so all will run leaving the land deserted.

Nigeria is the worst of disordered nations in the world. It is one of the most corrupt, insensitive, inefficient places under the sun. It is one of the most expensive countries and one of those that give least value for money. It is dirty, callous, noisy, ostentatious, dishonest and vulgar. In short, it is among the most unpleasant places on earth!
Only a masochist with an exuberant taste for self-violence will pick Nigeria for a holiday; only a character out of Tutuola seeking to know punishment and poverty at first hand can prefer visiting Nigeria- PROF. CHINUA ACHEBE'S THE TROUBLE WITH NIGERIA pg9-10.

Many Nigerians has rejected that name 'Nigeria' as their identify because the word spells corruption, hardship, torture and death.  It spelt bad luck. I am proudly one of those people that has rejected such identity.  How can I bear an identity that labels me criminal, thief, animal,  and all that disqualify me to associate with civilized people.

Nigeria is the heaven for all evil that minds can think of.  A country that hate fair hearing, failed to follow the will of her people. A country which justice has never lived at all is doomed, nothing good can come out of such place, inhabitants of such nation can educate the whole world on how hell looks like.

The process of election supposed to be the major function of any nations democracy, but because of insufficient maintainance of justice, reverse is the case. It became so obvious that 'Selection means Election in Nigeria. Citizens live in the awareness that their votes doesn't count. The result of such excersice will be an imposture of one illiterate or criminal or thief or killer or respecter of no law etc, a person who may not know how to lead himself to lead the future and destiny of a people. Being evil, inhuman and terror are part of the criteria that can qualify anybody to any political office. Since they don't have the interest of the people at heart, they lead them into a sorry state and abject poverty. People die of a disease that could be taken care of.

Even when they have the money, they will not have the courage to buy the medicine, they will consider their stomach first. I don't blame them for such consideration because its always the belly first before anything else. The stomach is empty and needs food. It is after eating that one can think of medicine.  Nigeria has done more harm than good to humanity. The Northern oligarchy and the false foundation of the country, is a problem which Biafra freedom can solve. Nigeria shouldn't have existed. The solution to Nigeria problem is Biafra freedom I will not like the above statement to be underated for it is the only truth that was hidden which needs its revelation now, not later.
I said not later because Nigeria has expired, dead awaiting to be buried.

Biafra freedom is the only solution because its only Biafrans that has been rejected in the federation, in a bid to accept themselves, not rejecting themselves as well (declaring themselves independent) a costly war that was one of the worst in history was levied on a young republic in a quest of keeping the nation one.

The slogan 'To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done swallowed more than 3.5 million Biafrans. And I ask, why will you kill my people for them to become one with you. Why will you kill them in a such gruesome manner that murdered conscience?

Biafrans were invaded, what couldn't be stolen was destroyed, women defiled. They love the land of Biafra, but they hate her people.  Fratricidal blood squirted and soaked the land. They were killed with arms and starvation, including women, children and noncombatants who are not the main target in any war.

In order to fulfill what seems to be more hateful than hatred, Biafra was blockeded both air, land and sea.  Experts on human conflicts certify the war "operation wipe out the Biafran tribe".
A war that entrenched inter generational bitterness and a scar that endure for all time.

Till today, the problem that gave birth to all those chaos has not been addressed, rather, Biafrans are the victims of multiple evils that Nigeria give birth to everyday.
From all ramifications, its certain that Biafrans are not Nigerians. They beautify the country and at the same time was rejected by that same country they invested much in building.

Let it be clear to any reasonable mind, and the people of good conscience that it is not an abomination for Biafra to regain her freedom, rather, forcing them against their will is worse than abomination. Biafrans have the right to live and decide their destiny.
