The quest for Biafra and her struggle has been on for 50years now, yet it has never been a national discourse like it is today. As Biafrans we need to have a moment of introspection, a moment of looking back, to know how and where we started as not to miss the mark, as to keep our eyes on the goal. I still remember those days no one ever mentioned Biafra, it was just a taboo to mention it. The name Biafra comes with harassment and imprisonment. They made us leave in fear. They subjugated us, the 'no Victor and no vanquish' slogan was not in practice. For many years the HausaFulani oligarchy held us down, they made sure we stay down in the Nigeria project. As people that just walked out from a war, that war of survival, agha riri nna, rie nne na nwa, it wasn't easy for us all. Having lost everything, through the indigenization and monetary policy of Gowon and Awolowo, we were caged, but we refused to be caged. We struggled to survive but not free. Man is born free, and that's make freedom very important in the life of a man. As a people we treasure freedom and that freedom is Biafra.

What happened? The cries for Biafra started resounding, many actors came on stage. The people started asking for a leader, like the days of the baby Biafra, the 1966 days that saw the leadership of the great Ikemba, Odumegwu Ojukwu.

The coming of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB became the game changer. He forced the name Biafra into the mouths of every one. It became so loud that even our enemies sound it wherever they go. It wasn't easy for him. Yes I know it wasn't, because even me, I doubted his seriousness. I said to myself, no one should take a man in London talking about Biafra serious. I never understood that he needed a free world so he can sound the gospel of freedom to his people. I demanded he comes back to Nigeria, so that I can take him serious. And like the fearless warrior of Biafra he is, he landed when Nigeria got herself the worse tyrannical illiterate as President. He became a prisoner of conscience, he gave in two years of his life in prison. He had the opportunity to sell out, but he didn't. He had the opportunity to become rich, own a whole lots of oil wells, but he chosed Biafra.

Biafrans in Biafra Land and in other part of Nigeria have been ordered by the supreme leader of IPOB to Sit At Home on 30th May, 2017, while Biafrans in other part of the world will be on the streets on their residents for rallies and demonstrations. As we remember our heroes past, let us all get on board and eschew all doubts.

Hello Biafra!!!
