OHANEZE NDI IGBO SHOULD BORROW A LEAF AND LISTEN TO WISE COUNSEL

OHANEZE NDI IGBO SHOULD BORROW A LEAF AND LISTEN TO WISE COUNSEL

The Biafra struggle has become a rallying point in the contemporary Nigerian state and particularly in Biafraland. Many groups and organisations are speedily identitying with the ideology that is propelling the agitation for Biafra which Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) are championing today and the struggle has taken an unprecedented toll in questioning the legitimacy and legality of the Nigerian state and that question has remained unanswered.

Recently, there was a publication all over the media on the purported speech presented or delivered by the president general of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, in a meeting held at Enugu with the South East governors. In the said speech, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo purportedly said that they have disowned Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People Of Biafra due to the election boycott directive issued by Nnamdi Kanu which is a call urging Biafrans not to participate in all subsequent Nigerian elections in the entire Biafraland starting with the proposed gubernatorial election billed to take place on 18th November 2017, in Anambra state. Having openly disowned Nnamdi Kanu and taking a stand for a restructured one Nigeria for Ndi Igbo, Nnia Nwodo has indirectly made himself an enemy of the people of Biafra and hearing this dishonest and ungaurded assertion from a supposedly leader that is representing the interest of the people, one could quickly ask these questions to Nnia Nwodo.

1. When was the pool or election that put you in the office you are occupying took place and who endorsed it?
2. Did the people you are supposedly representing their interest gave you the mandate?
3. What has the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo done for an ordinary man in the streets of Igbo land?
4. Since the establishment of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, what have they achieved with regards to the age long marginalization, infrastructural decay, economic strangulation and political disenfranchisement of the Igbo people?
5. What has Ohaneze Ndi Igbo done to alleviating and elevating the sufferings, excruciating poverty and youth unemployment in Igbo land?
6. What has the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo done to making sure that an Igbo president was produced in Nigeria since the amalgamation?
7. What has the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo said about the abandonment of the second Niger bridge, the throwing away of the proposed South East Development Bill at the Nigerian Senate?
8. Our people were gruesomely murdered by Nigeria military forces, why did Ohaneze Ndi Igbo kept mute even when international organisation such as Al was fighting for us?
The questions are  innumerable to mention and It is important to state unequivocally, that Ohaneze Ndi Igbo does not have the mandate of the people of Biafra as being their mouthpiece rather, it is a body that was imposed on the people and has contributed to the oppression of the people.

It is also worthy of note that Ohaneze Ndi Igbo is a socio-cultural organisation that is arrogating itself as  representing the interest of the people of Igbo nation in Nigeria but was not elected by the people hence, do not have the mandate to speak for the people. Ohaneze Ndi Igbo was founded in 1976 after the Nigerian/ Biafra war, when the issue and the need for representation of Ndi Igbo arose but the common people did not vote them as representatives and like the current Ohaneze Ndi Igbo led by John Nnia Nwodo and their predecessors, have been a failure and irredeemably battered since it's establishment 41 years ago.

It is rather out of envy and a show of shame, that Nnia Nwodo after seeing the population of ordinary people in the street following the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra and pledging unalloyed loyalty to his leadership and an unbounded support to the Biafra struggle and started talking hard on Biafra. If Ohaneze Ndi Igbo want to test their popularity amongst the Biafran people, they should issue an order or directive and see who obeys it. Nnamdi Kanu in all intents and purposes has proven to be the mouthpiece of the people and the people of Biafra are solidly behind him so long as the Biafra struggle is concerned.

Ohaneze Ndi Igbo are bunch of rich people that arrogates themselves as leaders but not with the mandate of the people, so it is laughable for these same people who imposed themselves on the people but have done little or nothing to alleviate their sufferings to take such stand on Biafra issue. Therefore, disowning Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB for their activities that have torn Nigeria apart and have weakened her from the fraudulent foundation with which she was built is nothing but a dance of shame.

Ohaneze Ndi Igbo should not take the Indigenous People Of Biafra for granted or underrate her prowess.

The world should know that the Indigenous People Of Biafra can not be cajoled into aligning with carrie politicians or any group that will scuttle this massive agitation. Biafrans have for long disowned Ohaneze group for supporting evil against their own people.
it is good as we have known the stance of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo because ever since Nnamdi Kanu established IPOB solely for the restoration of Biafra, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo has been acting like a bird flying and perching from one branch of a tree to another, supporting Biafra today and support a restructured one Nigeria for Biafrans tomorrow, speaking from both sides of their mouth. However, the restoration of Biafra is imminent and no political jobber like the Ohaneze and the governors can stop it.

Just recently, all Biafra agitators endorsed Nnamdi Kanu as their supreme leader as to foster unity and boost the Biafra struggle, yet Ohaneze Ndi Igbo are still parading themselves as leaders.

Chief John Nnia Nwodo, his followers, and his co political travellers, should be reminded that Biafrans still maintain their stance on NO Election in Anambra State and all other parts of Biafraland subsequently because since we have been electing governors, nothing has changed and nothing seems to be getting better for the masses to  alleviating their sufferings. The roads are death traps, schools are with delapidated structures, hospitals are not equipped and people are dying. The life span or expectancy of an average Biafran is 50 years and today Biafrans have chosen to restore their life back.
Has the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo group forgotten about the killings at Nkpor in Anambra state on May 30th, 2016, which governor Willie Obiano publicly denied when he issued a press statement calling IPOB miscreants and recently denied that Biafrans were killed when called upon by the military panel of inquiry in far away Abuja to testify to that fact. And after such a heinous crime metted against our people and the public denial, we will be asked to come out to vote for the same people. It is the height of lunacy and Biafrans will not continue with such. Therefore, tell me what Ohaneze Ndi Igbo did about these killings as the mouthpiece and leaders of the people? Is Ohaneze Ndi Igbo feigning ignorance of the quit notice handed down to Biafrans by the Islamic Arewa youth from Northern Nigeria? Yes, because they pledged allegiance to the Sokoto caliphate up North.

Whether Nigeria will continue to exist or not, should be decided in a referendum and no amount of bullet will quench the inevitable because the Biafran people have denounced Nigeria and embraced Biafra. So, we must keep pressing ahead until Biafra becomes a sovereign nation. The era of one Nigeria has gone and this is the right time for the total emancipation of Biafra as a free nation.  Restructuring will not work for Nigeria because it has never worked, so this Ohaneze Ndi Igbo that is clamouring for her restructure should bury their faces in shame. Infact they should borrow a leaf from the Biafra agitators that endorsed Nnamdi Kanu as their leader, eschew pride and queue behind him in the struggle for our total emancipation and collective existence. They should also join the evangelism for an election boycott in Anambra state.
Until Biafra is restored, NO MORE ELECTION IN BIAFRALAND

  1. Well said, Biafrans now trust Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB more than any other person, leader or group, because Nnamdi Kanu is consistent in his restoration goal, unlike this other ones that cannot be trusted.

  3. Ohaneze Ndi Igbo is a huge disappointment and disgrace to us. We should please stay focused to pursue our dream and free ourselves from this murderous Islamic sharia state of Nigeria - no matter what it takes. All over the world, young people are liberating themselves. Ours should not be different. Our lives cannot be mortgaged by few selfish saboteurs and greedy coward elders and politicians from our land. The revolution must start at home. We must be free.
