BIAFRA: RE-ARREST NNAMDI KANU AND FACE THE CONSEQUENCES

BIAFRA: RE-ARREST NNAMDI KANU AND FACE THE CONSEQUENCES

By Prince Ugochukwu Olisakwe, for Family Writers Press.

The Indigenous People of Biafra will not fold their hands and watch their leader get arrested again. It is undemocratic, for Nigerian Government to rearrest the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The Nigerian Government should understand that the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) are running out of patients and have kept quiet for a long time. We have been law abiding, the Nigerian Government should stop taken us for granted. And they should not try to provoke Biafrans by opening the scares of unhealed wounds, because any attempt to do so, may provoke us and we may think otherwise.

Furthermore, our call for referendum is not a call for war, but for Biafrans to decide whether to remain in Nigeria or not. The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has severally called for the independence of Muslim separatist groups, Western Saharan in Morocco and Palestine. We are not against anybody demanding for freedom but ours cannot be different. We have been going about it in a civilized manner, despite the fact that we are humiliated on daily basis. Arresting Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem but the implications may be regrettable.

We want to let all Nigerians and their Government to understand that, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) shall defend Nnamdi Kanu by every possible means. We have passed the stage of remaining silence while our members are arrested and killed. We have been law abiding all these while. We have demonstrated peacefully, but we were injured and killed despite our efforts to be law abiding. Right now we are ready to take the bull by the horns. Whatever you want will be given to you. If you want peace, you will get it. If you want war, you will surely get it as well.

Biafra restoration is non negotiatable and there will be no room for dialogue because we are not seeking for recognition. We therefore ask the Federal Government to carefully work on giving out a date for referendum.

Meanwhile, arresting Nnamdi Kanu cannot stop us from doing the needful for the immediate restoration of Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu has never been alone in this struggle. He represents the whole of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) world wide.

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari and members of his cabinet should understand that these Eastern Governors and Ohanaeze Ndigbo can never convince us to abandoned this noble quest. So, holding meetings to stop us is irrelevant. Our mission is simple - restoration of Biafra. That is the reason why we are insisting on the boycott of election in Biafra land or you give us a date for referendum.

  1. Biafrans must be prepared to resist this satanic plan to re-arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It’s not that he’s afraid to be re-arrested but for goodness sake, they have not arrested the lazy, stupid and senseless Arewa Youths who issued a quit notice and threatened to massacre Igbo people living in the north which the U.N. has strongly condemned. They have not arrested any of the parasitic Arewa Elders who depend on crude oil wealth from the Biafra land for their survival. They have not arrested the barbaric Fulani herdsmen who are publicly and with impunity massacring farmers and raping young girls all around Nigeria. Boko haram is still controlling some LGAs in Borno State. AG Malami, and IGP Idris should first go and arrest president Buhari for massacre of pro-Biafra youths and hate speech, VP Osinbajo, Tinubu, Lai Mohammad, ,Shettima, El-Rufia, and other northern terrorists before talking about IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra. Biafra is a nation and its people are peacefully seeking self-determination to exit from the murderous Islamic Nigeria. We must resist any attempt to re-arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Let this war that this tyrant Buhari wants to start then. Enough of this foolishness and stupidity.
