"I WAS CALLED A TERRORIST, MY HARD-EARNED MONEY COLLECTED FROM ME BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE" - A BIAFRAN ACTIVIST CRIES OUT

"I WAS CALLED A TERRORIST, MY HARD-EARNED MONEY COLLECTED FROM ME BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE" - A BIAFRAN ACTIVIST CRIES OUT

The Nigerian Police has commenced another massive extortion of money from Biafrans. They stopped a Biafran activist at Cele Bus stop, Lagos heading for his normal day to day activities on 04/10/2017 at exactly 2pm Nigerian time and collected the sum of thirty thousand Naira (#30,000) from him illegally.

The young Biafran who pleaded anonymity while speaking to Family Writers Press correspondent Ekwenye Samuel , revealed that they stopped and accused him of being one of the yahoo boys in Lagos State. On the process, his phone was snatched from him, the data was switched on and they saw Biafran news, pictures and videos. They called him terrorist and threatened to jail him or he should pay the aforementioned amount for his freedom which he did.

Speaking further to Family Writers correspondent, another Biafran narrated that such thing has been so rampant among the Nigerian Policemen , maiming and extorting money illegally from Biafrans who are maltreated in Nigeria. He explained that even though he has not fallen victim to such inhuman maltreatment, many people whom he knew are victims. According to him, these heartless Policemen even go to the extent of forcing them to withdraw money from their bank accounts using ATM cards.

Meanwhile, these human right abuses was initially introduced by the Nigerian military in Igweocha, Port Harcourt to extort, cease, arrest and detain Biafran activists. It is obvious this has extended to Lagos State as well. Who knows, there could be other places where such criminal act is obtainable especially in Biafra land.
While we alert the whole world to take note of the subjugations Biafrans go through in Nigeria, we encourage all Biafrans to be at alert and use their personal security code numbers to lock their smart phones.
