NIGERIA: EMPIRE OF DARKNESS AND THE MASSES' TEARS-(POEM)

NIGERIA:  EMPIRE OF DARKNESS AND THE MASSES' TEARS-(POEM)

Kingdom of the devil,
 Empire of darkness.

They live as leaders,
But lead like monsters;
They tag the people 'Citizens',  But treat them like prisoners.

Their objective:
To loot the money,
And destroy the economy.

Those who preach prosperity, But subject the people to poverty.
Saviours they claim, Ambassadors of the devil they are.

The masses live in hell,
The children grow in pain,
Sufferings make them fade,
As Hunger ruins their day.

Youths hustles for bread,
But the leaders have their efforts put to blade.

"All will be well,
We'll make you smile,"-
 The black monsters of deceit sing;
Such an unending promises to the masses,
Yet sufferings never ceases.

When the people groan,
 They are called 'Enemies';
When the youths revolt,
They are labeled 'Miscreants'.

The frustrated pick weapons for justice,
But they are tagged 'Rebels'.
When the voice of the masses bang,
'Voice of the jobless ones' they baptise it.

But when they speak,
The masses are forced to believe or die.

MONSTERS of the EMPIRE OF DARKNESS they are.

"Federalists and good citizens"-
They call the mute and their loyalists.
"Separatists and enemies of good governance"-
They tag the vocal and fearless activists.

With riffles-
 Purchased
with the resources of the masses,
They spill the blood of the people
Across the streets.

Into the dark pit,
The vocals and incorruptibles are thrown
While others are put to slaughter-
By extremists who define them as infidels.

Heads of those seeking for justice roll,
Their blood flows daily like the Atlantic ocean.
In the cage of captivity,
Justice cries for help-
To be let loose for the people.

The young cry-
 "Give us freedom",
the youths say-
 "We want freedom",
And the aged dream of  freedom.

But not at all, not yet,
As the slaves of the monsters
 pull the triggers,
And bullets feast on the flesh of the people.

Yet, Ambassadors of justice have their mouths glued,
 And fold their arms
Like the statues of old Babylon.

"More of you we'll kill,
To preserve this empire of Darkness,"-
The Monsters roar to the people.

"If death be the price,
We'll pay without a shred of fear,"-
 The people reply the vampires.

Why are the people neglected
by the world's ambassadors of justice?
Who'll bring justice to this people?

My pen wets,
Tears flow down my cheeks,
As I see the children, youths and adults-
Walk in the valley of pains-
as it was in the old Egypt.

So much sufferings and deaths
In the Devil's empire of darkness.
WHERE IS JUSTICE?
WHEN WILL JUSTICE PREVAIL?
