IPOB: BIAFRAN PHILANTHROPIST DONATES TO AFIKPO IPOB WIDOWS

BIAFRAN PHILANTHROPIST DONATES TO AFIKPO IPOB WIDOWS

Christopher Otu Ezeali
Reporting for Family Writers Press

Widows of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, received donation of gift items including cash and bags of rice. An Afikpo indigene and a hardcore Biafran philanthropist in appreciation for the courageous and encouraging leadership style of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, could not hide his feelings for the indefatigable IPOB leader. The philanthropist stated that the gesture extended to the widows, was born out of his love for the unequal sacrifices Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has made and is yet making for the total emancipation of the Biafran people slavery and impoverishment. He said that his knowledge of many starving widows and their children within the family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), prompted his response.

The philanthropist went ahead to eulogise the widows who despite enormous limitations, have remained resolute in the struggle for the restoration of the Biafran nation. With the recommendation of Igbo women recently by the United Nations, he encouraged other women who have maintained docility in the restoration effort, to arise and get duly enlisted for the betterment of their children. He advised the widows that his philanthropy should not be mistaken for inducement but an appreciation for their steadfastness. He used the occasion to lambast the Ebonyi State politicians especially those based in Afikpo, for their insincerity in addressing the very needs of the masses who they claim to be representing. He decried the selfish interests of these politicians whose only concerns revolve around their families and close associates, to the detriment of the overriding well-being of the people. The philanthropist challenged the women to firmly take hold of their responsibilities by effectively occupying their positions as mothers. He promised them that in this struggle, more are yet coming under the able leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Responding on behalf of the widows, Mrs. Nkechi Inya, expressed surprises on the gifts presented to them and called such a gesture, historic, as such has never been experienced before now, all her lifetime. She pointedly stated that no politician has ever remembered the plights of the widows within their vicinity. She promised to do everything within the limit of her power, for the restoration of Biafra. The widows unanimously used the opportunity to call on all the women within their environs/Ebonyi State, to brace up for the challenges ahead especially in Afikpo, where about 70℅ of their children and wards have been converted to Islam because of frivolous inducements.

In his remarks, the IPOB Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Igwe Johnson appreciated the historic gesture of the philanthropist. He called on ChukwuOkike Abiama (God Almighty, the Creator), to continue to guide and protect our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wherever he presently is. He stressed that through the indisputable efforts of this rare kind of a leader, the future of Biafrans all over the world, is exceptionally guaranteed. He advised the Nigerian government to borrow a leaf from the civilised countries of the world and fix a date for Biafra referendum before it becomes belated.

Long live Mazi Nnamdi Kanu!
Long live the United States of Biafra!!
