THE NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES, BOKO HARAM AND FULANI HERDSMEN TERRORISTS ARE OPERATIONALLY THE SAME

The modus operandi of Boko Haram terrorists, Fulani killer herdsmen, Nigeria Armed Forces, ISIS, Abubakar Shekau, Abubakr Al Baghdad and Muhammadu Buhari, the sitting President of Nigeria are inseparably the same. The above mentioned groups and individuals operate with the same doctrinal inclinations (ideology), military gears and characteristics, their different identificational names, notwithstanding.

The bizarre acts of rapes, killings and torture techniques associated with these world acclaimed terror groups are synonymous with the notoriety of the Nigerian security forces. Nigeria has arrogantly gained a reputation as a producer, supporter and exporter of deadly terror organisations by major International Human Rights Groups like the United Kingdom based Amnesty International, United States based Human Rights Watch, Office of the Special Rapporteur on Torture to the United Nations, amongst other notable individuals even within Nigeria.

On the 24th of March 2018, an erstwhile Nigerian Defense Minister,  Rtd. Lieutenant-General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, called on Nigerians to rise up and defend themselves against ethnic cleansing. The Retired Army General pointedly gave the warning at the Maiden Convocation Ceremony of Taraba State University, in Jalingo, the State Capital. He said: "In this state and within all the riverine states, we must resist it. We must stop it. Everyone of us must rise up. The armed forces are not neutral. They collude with the armed bandits. They kill people. They kill Nigerians. They facilitate their movements. They give them cover. If you are depending on the armed forces to stop the killings, you will all die one by one. The ethnic cleansing must stop. In Taraba State, it must stop. In all the states in Nigeria, the killings must stop. Otherwise, Somalia will be a child's play. I ask everyone of you to be on the alert and defend your country. Defend your territory. Defend your state. You have nowhere else to go. You have nowhere else to go. God bless our country". These weighty revelational statements of warning from a renowned elder statesman, retired army general cum former defense minister, are exceptionally suggestive of the covert developments within Nigeria's military institution.

Albert Einstein once said: "The world is a dangerous place to live in; not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who do not do anything about it". But where was T.Y. Danjuma all this while? Where were you when these state sponsored terrorists officially kitted with Nigeria army uniforms descended on the armless and innocent family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at Aba, Nkpor, Onitsha, Enugu, Igweocha and lastly, their murderous invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's residence at Afara-ukwu, Ibeku - Umuahia in Abia State, killing, maiming, torturing and abducting thousands of Biafran men and women? Your recent call for self-defense, is born out of your desperation to try to counter the impending decimation of your people and not because of your concern and love for Biafrans. There is this popular saying which stipulates that: "what goes around, comes around". In this season, the evil that men do, most definitely lives with them. It is unfortunate that T.Y. Danjuma seems to have forgotten his role in the decimation of Biafrans during the so-called Biafra/Nigeria war.

The complicities, conspiracies and extra-judicial killings of the Nigerian Armed Forces carried out against Biafrans, still stand till tomorrow as documented evidences portray. Amnesty International published thirty three (33) pages documented accounts with the title: "Stars On Their Shoulders, Blood On Their Hands, War Crimes Committed By The Nigerian Military". This document fully evidenced how the Nigerian Armed Forces killed, raped, tortured and detained Biafrans majorly, in different parts of Nigeria.

On the 24th of November 2016, Amnesty International also gave analytical evidences of 87 video clips, 122 photographs and 146 eye witness testimonies relating to demonstrations and other related gatherings where people were gruesomely murdered. Between August 2015 and August 2016, documented accounts revealed that the Nigerian Security Operatives recklessly fired live ammunitions into crowds of harmless protesters with virtually little or no warnings, to disperse the crowds. There are also indisputable evidences of mass extra-judicial summary executions by these terroristic Nigerian Security forces of at least 60 Biafrans within a space of just 2 days. This transpired when the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) congregated to commemorate the Remembrance Day of their Fallen Heroes and Heroines. Further reports from the Amnesty International outlined the killing of at least 12 IPOB members by the Nigerian Soldiers in Umuahia, Abia State on the 14th of September, 2017.

Few months back, in Numan and other surrounding villages of Adamawa State to be precise, hundreds of dangerously armed Fulani killer herdsmen laid siege. There was a deployment of the Nigerian Airforce jets and choppers to the locations. They only succeeded in giving surveillance cover to the perpetrators while the carnage persisted. The deafening sounds from the propellers of the Airforce choppers and the hazardous smokes  emitted from the jets were all tactically employed by the overt terrorism merchants in uniform (Nigerian Military), to aid the genocidal operations of their armed Fulani killer herdsmen against the people. The airforce authorities shamelessly stated afterwards that they were handed down instructions not to shoot.

In 2017, the Presidential Panel instituted to investigate reported cases of human rights violations by the Nigerian Army, revealed most disappointing depth of complicity, to be never recorded in a democratic dispensation. Revelations given by the people of Moon district in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State and others in Taraba, Plateau and Southern Kaduna States are comprehensively indicting. Engineer Kwaghkper Jacob and Honorable Aboh Utah gave very complimentary graphic accounts on how the Nigerian army connived with the Jukun of Taraba to sack the indigenes from their ancestral homes, thereby paving the way for Fulani occupation. The Moon valley of Kwande local government area of Benue state also opened the floor for 2 out of 13 witnesses to accuse the Nigerian army of complicity in the violation of their rights.

The bizarre accounts of these state sponsored atrocities against the people by a supposed professional institution, are indeed innumerable. Our leader and director, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had always raised alarms about all these. The difference if there exists any between Boko Haram, ISIS, Fulani herdsmen terrorists and the Nigerian Armed Forces is only in their names. Their operational nomenclature remain indisputably the same.

This is Nigeria, a lawless entity where human life and dignity are valueless. Islamic terrorism, killings, incidences of rape and destructions are not just only institutionalized but very essentially treasured. This whole thing is anathemaic to the consciousness of every sane individual and must confronted headlong.
