BIAFRA HEROES DAY: THEY PAID FOR OUR FREEDOM

BIAFRA HEROES DAY: THEY PAID FOR OUR FREEDOM

By Blessed Orji
For Family Writers Press

Nigeria is known for terrorism,. Apart from breeding Boko haram and having grand patron of Fulani herdsmen rule them from his grave, their penchant for blood , the blood of Biafra is second to none . In the last 24 months, over 2,000 innocent souls have been brutally murdered in Nigeria. They killed our men, women and children and branded our people.... The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the World most peaceful freedom fighting group, as terrorists.
Nigeria takes immense pleasure in the persecution of Biafra freedom fighters - the extra judicial incarceration of Benjamin Mmadubugwu, Bright Chimezie, David Nwawuisi, Chidiebere Onwudiwe and host of others in Nigeria Prisons, the sponsored clinical military raid of Nnamdi Kanu's home and abduction in September 2017 leaving scores dead, those massacred at Nkpor, Onitsha, those forced to drink poisoned stagnant water at Isiala Ngwa, Aba province, those murdered at Ngwa High School for praying for the release of incarcerated Biafrans, those found near 144 battalion decremented with corrosive acid to cover evidence, those massacred for celebrating Donald Trump's inauguration and recently the unwarranted attacks on the Jewish synagogues in Aba, Asaba, Igweocha, Yenagoa provinces and the abduction of  Jewish worshipers in Umuahia on May 12, 2018.

However, the existence of IPOB has been of greater value to the Biafra struggle for self determination. It has put our people on vantage grounds to share the Biafra story ,and present to the international community  with formidable platform to have unrestricted access to cruel roles played by Britain and the Nigerian government in the incessant and consistent massacre of the Biafra people. The BIAFRA genocide of 1967-70 where over 3.6 million Biafra population were killed, where markets, schools, hospitals were completely destroyed, and pregnant women and children were deliberately starved to death.

There has been a well calculated despotic political enslavement of our people, the economic strangulation, the social pariah promotion against biafra and the full blown religious intolerance prevalent in Nigeria from time immemorial,
As we ruminate on the sacrifices and exorbitant price for freedom paid by our heroes.. We no longer see the complicity of Britain nor our oppressors and Saboteurs from Biafra land as connivance but inspiration and conviction as crusaders of Biafra restoration. This convictions embolden us to accept and expectedly appreciate the sacrifices made by our progenitors, our leader Mazi Nnamdi kanu and all gallant Biafra who volunteered to secure our freedom.
The Biafran children of this dispensation are now alive to our heritage. The spirits of our fallen heroes have woken and their blood cry for vengeance. Until Justice prevail and BIAFRA weld into free nation we must remember and mourn them.  We continue to pledge faithful and loyal services to our mother land Biafra. We continue daily to renew our vows as crusaders against senseless invasion, occupation of our land by Fulani herdsmen jihadists called Nigeria armed forces. We continue to assure ourselves of continuously marching with discipline, responsibility, and willingness to obey the commands of our Supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We continue to be found always at our duty post, obedient to the will of Biafra.

Biafra will emerge as a free nation. Like a dormant volcano it will explode at the appointed time. The catalyst to that explosion is our total compliance to the order: "SIT AT HOME" come May 30th in all places across Biafra land and all habitation of IPOB in Nigeria. It is an order restricting all vehicular movements and persons. Neither schools nor markets will open. All offices, Churches, mosques, business places, recreational centres must remain locked down. All government agencies and companies should never take that day for granted. We must give unreserved respect to those that made and are making tremendous sacrifices for Biafra freedom.
