THE UNITED NATIONS SACRIFICE OF HUMANITY OVER OBSOLETE PROTOCOLS OF SOVEREIGNTY OF NATIONS

THE UNITED NATIONS SACRIFICE OF HUMANITY OVER OBSOLETE PROTOCOLS OF SOVEREIGNTY OF NATIONS

The nauseating lackadaisical attitude of the United Nations and other continental bodies towards the plights and groanings of humanity has disgracefully peaked and cannot stand any intelligent reasoning. Numerous agitations for secession in different continents of the world have so far been disappointedly neglected. It is therefore conclusively right to say that humanity is being sacrificed on the evil altar of international protocols of sovereignty of nations just to service mundane cravings. The words of Christ Jesus in the Bible vividly stated that "laws are made for humanity and not humanity made for laws". Unfortunately though, the reverse has rather become the case with the United Nations international laws, protecting the sovereignty of nations, whereby people are daily being sacrificed to protect the expired British experiment called Nigeria, as a case study. Sovereignty of nations ought to be for the over all benefit, interest and protection of humanity no matter the location. While protecting the sovereignty of nations, oppressive regimes like what obtains in Nigeria, Cameroon and Spain should not be respected and encouraged. These countries, where legitimate agitations for regional independence of Biafran, Ambazonian and Catalonian indigenous nations are prevalent with repulsive oppressive tendencies, the so-called respect of United Nations protection-backed sovereignty rights are intactly protected, the inherent evils nonetheless.

Holding these nations rights to sovereignty sacrosanct by the United Nations is not only devilish but wholesomely inhumane. Biafrans within the Nigerian contraption for instance, have steadily been agitating for their independence for over fifty (50) years now with no commensurate response from the global body. Having successfully and courageously petitioned the United Nations, European Union and African Union, demanding for political freedom, the best approach which the above mentioned world bodies should adopt, is to wade in and carve out agitating regions while yet protecting the remaining parts of Nigeria as directed by the international instrument. But for the United Nations to remain adamant, sacrificing humanity by pretentiously being silent, culminates in oppression from the central government. This is the height of wickedness from a supposed legitimate and all inclusive world body like the United Nations. The protection of the map and it's sovereignty cannot be more important than the nation and this is where the United Nations is getting it all wrongly placed.

Therefore, the world bodies should commence with the anticipated. It is time to duly accord respect to the wish of the people rather than lending support to the impunity of the Nigerian government against Biafrans. The wish of the people of Biafra, is the unfettered political independence of their nation which is in no way, threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria. If the nation of Biafra is carved out of the Nigerian defunct federation, the remaining Western part of the country which consists of Yoruba region with the Northern part which is predominantly Hausa-Fulani, will yet constitute a prosperous, peaceful, progressive and strong sovereign nation of their choice. The caucus of the United Nations Security Council should not be foot-dragging in stepping into Nigeria/Biafra debacle, to forestall further dehumanization and the resultant catastrophe. The destiny of over seventy million (70,000,000) Biafrans are at stake here and they are unequivocally demanding total independence from Nigeria. This, to sane, enlightened mind is more pivotal than the indefensible and jaundiced protection of the sovereignty of Nigeria by the leadership of the United Nations. As we gradually march into the year 2019, the United Nations is under obligation to critically fashion out modalities with which to engage the Nigerian government on the respect for the people rather than defending the obsolete/disgusting protocols governing the sovereignty of a nation like Nigeria.
