THE CRY OF FREEDOM IN THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA AND THE INCAPACITATION OF WORLD LEADERS
In the light of the vehement and astronomical growth of agitations/petitions to world leaders for political independence by Biafrans both at home and abroad, there is this dire need for the occupational government of Nigeria to relinquish it's hold on the ancient Biafran nation amongst other discoveries. Amongst these realities is the fact that the hands of world leaders cum international organizations like the United Nations, European Union and African Union, are tied due to the obsolete international legal instrument which is enforcing the right of nations and internal affairs therein. The world must not forget that Biafra under reference here, is the same Biafra in the West African sub-region, close to the Gulf of Guinea whose sovereignty was forcefully relinquished at the heat of the genocidal war levied against the indigenous people in 1970.
It is therefore necessary to bring to the notice of the global leaders that it tantamounts to the height of cynicism, hypocrisy and stark negligence to the peace and security of the world for them to place sovereignty of nations being enjoyed by Nigeria over and above the pains, cries and agitations by Biafrans for their political independence which have spanned over fifty good years. The world leaders who have repeatedly reneged on their responsibilities on the issue of Biafra restoration which view it as entirely, a Nigerian internal affair, are thereby emboldening the Nigerian government to carry on with it's callousness and impunity against the Biafran people. It becomes evidential that the Nigerian government has blatantly refused to adopt democratic process of referendum or initiate outright negotiation on how best to peacefully handle the Biafra restoration question. The relentless employment of draconian military approach in trying to quell an otherwise peaceful democratic but raging Biafra agitations can no longer be accepted.
It is important that President Donald Trump of the United States of America, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, President Emmanuel Macron of France, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain amongst others, be reminded that the Biafra restoration question has exceeded the level of the so-called internal affairs of the Islamic government of Nigeria which through it's lawless and grossly unprofessional armed forces, has relentlessly being killing Biafrans in its desperation to suppress the peaceful agitators. If the United Nations, European Union, governments of the United States of America, United Kingdom and others could have the inalienable right to wade into the issue of the just concluded shambolic Nigeria general elections to the extent of sending foreign observers to monitor the exercise, what then is the force behind their indocility in openly demanding for Biafra independence? It is needful to really demand answers to the special importance that is being attached to Nigeria that even the highly respected and influential global leaders are so terrified in speaking up about the plights of Biafrans.
The numerous petitions of the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, forwarded to virtually all the relevant governments and organisations all over the world, clearly stating reasons for these world leaders to intervene in this Biafra independence debacle, should be a thing of utmost concern. There is absolutely no way the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), namely the United States of America, United Kingdom, Russia, France and China, will be watching a dangerous phenomenon that has the potentiality of jeopardising the security and peace of the world and Biafrans and continue to remain silent. It is important that these world powers note that Biafra agitation and the obvious negligence of duty by this powerful world body in the United Nations, is directly placing the entire human race in an explosive dilemma. As for the quest for the independence of Biafra, Biafrans are uncompromisingly pushing on until their freedom and that of their upcoming generations is completely and permanently secured. It is a passion for survival that cannot be alternated.
