IPOB PAYS WELFARE VISIT TO FAMILY MEMBERS IN ENUGU MAXIMUM PRISON

IPOB PAYS WELFARE VISIT TO FAMILY MEMBERS IN ENUGU MAXIMUM PRISON

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, paid a heartwarming visit to Biafrans and "IPOB Enugu Maximum Prison Family" on welfare grounds. Items including food stuffs, assorted clothings, shoes and money were disposed to the brethren by IPOB welfare delegation, in company of IPOB family, Enugu State.

Recall that few weeks back, one hundred and forty (140) family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Enugu province, were illegally detained and later released from Enugu maximum prison. The released members testified of high level concern showed to them by the "IPOB Enugu Maximum Prison Family". They also gave the narrative of how detained Biafrans and the prison officials friendly related with them during their period of incarceration. This commendable gesture gave rise to the wise decision of the IPOB leadership to authorize a welfare visit in reciprocation.

Breakdown of the welfare packages given included:

* 1 bag of 100 kilograms of Garri
* 1 bag of 50 kilograms of Rice
* 2 cartons of batting soap
* 8 bottles of liquid detergent
* Bags of assorted clothes and shoes
* 10 bags of drinkable water
* Money

The IPOB Enugu family, prison authority and officers were visibly overwhelmed with joy for the visit. Time allotted for the visit was however extended to allow for mutual discussions/interactions between the visiting team and the detained brethren inmates.

The visit was strategically planned and embarked on to provoke an indept family relationship known in IPOB.
