Countdown to 1st October 2020 (Part 2): Nigeria And Democracy

Countdown to 1st October 2020 (Part 2): Nigeria And Democracy

Considering the variety of past Nigerian leaders right from independence in 1960, one would concur that the country truly needs a re-transition back to white colonialism for proper leadership orientation and economic management.

The citizens have over the decades, been reeling in stark economic strangulation and endemic political  insanity as a result of poor leadership in virtually all spheres. Democracy as being practiced in Nigeria is not just only uncivilized but totally demonically inclined.

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America, one of the very frontline fathers of democracy once described "democracy" as a "government of the people, by the people and for the people". He clearly meant that the franchise and choice of the voters must have to be  fully respected in every intent. He meant that in democracy, leaders are elected through majority vote and that the elected are to dutifully work for the interest and well-being of the citizens who by their unalloyed determination, gave them the mandate and right of leadership.

Abraham Lincoln governed America for only five (5) years and was assassinated in 1865. At that period, the country called Nigeria had not come into existence via the instrumentality of British colonialists and those that possibly would have under-studied him before he was summarily eliminated, were not yet available.

Retired General Olusegun Obasanjo's regime seems to have been the best Nigeria had. He at least boosted the agricultural sector and standardized the costs of essential commodities for the less privileged.

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan tried his best but was criminally pressured out of office by the Northern oligarchical cabals and their accomplices. It should be recalled that Muhammadu Buhari in 2011, a radical Islamist, advocated that "people should go for blood" if after the presidential election then, the results were not favorable to him.

He fulfilled with impunity, that promise after he lost out. One Alhaji Lawan Kaita had also attributed same statement to Buhari that he would make Nigeria ungovernable under Jonathan if he really lost out of the election.

Those were not just mere speeches but were intently delivered with the formation and sponsorship of Boko Haram terrorist group, well in sight. This was carried out against Jonathan's administration and against the choice/will of the people.

These are the classes of leaders Nigeria as a country, is producing which of course will continue to give delivery to, because democracy in this part of the world, is topsy-curved. How can sane beings ever want to hold on to this type of democracy and leadership?  It just serves as a pathway for possible disintegration.

They disgustingly gulp human blood down their throats like wine and willfully rule over the corpses without any ado. Uncountable number of youths get employed on short time jobs as political thugs, gruesomely killing/maiming and harassing the innocent all in the bid to massage the cravings of their political masters.

All these happen in a grossly misinterpreted and deluded democracy. When rounded up eventually, they get  sanctioned and killed by the police as suspected cultists. Reno Omokri, one of the refined Nigerian politicians and a social crusader had in 2018, described Nigeria as a "Slaughter House". This stemmed from his discovery that the country is totally unworthy of independence.

This is really the right time for a definitive action. Nigeria has no alternative and needs be completely dismantled!
