Nobody should fear Biafra is a minute away from us

Nobody should fear Biafra is a minute away from us

By Ifeanyi Chijioke

Starved Children of Biafra
I have asked my self many times, why did 1967 war last for three years despite we had no weapons and no help. I could not cracker out an answer until a certain day. I have two kids a sharp baby boy and girl, they are my joy and the reason i live, they are what drive me and give me essence of life. I took them out for a fun on Sunday, running around with them on the children ground of the hotel. Then the elderly one chased the younger one as she ran into my arms for safety. I lifted her up and my world went agog "what a complete sweet world". Then beside me stood a veteran of remarkable age. He said to me "over one million children of this age and happiness were starved to death by Nigeria, imagine what it would look like starving these your kids to death, isn't it unkindest act?" he left and tears trickled down my eyes.

As a Biafran my conscience could not hold back as i asked myself "will the death of over one million children be in vain?" as the veteran walked away he said again "five million of fathers like you and mothers like your beautiful wife also was murdered for the sake of Biafra" since after the war more than one million of Biafrans have died separately in the hands of Nigeria, latest was the killing of three on 30th of August. Having lost all should their death be in vain? The death of these people should stir a vile of hatred and vengeance. Only by getting Biafra will they rest in peace. And you all will agree with me that we are Biafrans and we have conscience'. Their death will not be in vain, we will keep fighting without fear or backward. Who is destined to die will die even in his bedroom and he who shall live will live even in the face of war or death. We should be bittered for our loss and fight to success to make up our loss. Nobody should fear Biafra is a minute away from us. We are destined to live and so we all shall live even if arrested and tortured and shot. We shall survive to payback our killers. All hail Biafra !!!
