Biafra restoration efforts on course – IPOB leader

Biafra restoration efforts on course – IPOB leader

Biafrans all over the world has been assured that the restoration drive for the independence of Biafra as a sovereign state was still on course more than ever before.
The assurance was made during an interview yesterday by Uche Mefor, Deputy Director of Radio Biafra, and Deputy Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). He explained that the Biafra independence struggle was a divinely instituted struggle, and as such that nothing and nobody would be able to derail it.

During the interview, where he discussed a wide range of issues on Biafran restoration effort, Mefor promised Biafrans that the leadership of IPOB was still intact, just as the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu left it. “There is no problem with the Biafran restoration drive” he said.

According to the Deputy Biafran leader, those fearful that the group may not be able to pull through now that its leader was being held by the Nigerian government should not be worried. He said that the excellent structures Kanu laid for IPOB was solid enough to remain for hundreds of years to come.
He also said that those in the current struggle were “hardcore” Biafrans whose zeal and hunger to restore their country far outweigh any other consideration.
His words: “The foundation that our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, laid is rock solid and the leadership is driven by hardcore Biafrans who will sacrifice anything for Biafra”.
Continuing, Mefor said that what some people saw as trouble in the leadership was just minor administrative issue that had been sorted out to make way for better coordination of IPOB programmes. “It was simply an administrative issue that has long been smoothened out as we continue with the struggle”, he said.
Mefor took the opportunity to commend and charge all Biafrans for having, so far, given everything within their ability to have their leader released, as well as to have Biafra restored. Part of his words read: “Yes of course. I want to commend the courage and drive of Biafran men, women and children, who have taken the responsibilities upon their shoulders; haven followed the tradition, the principles, and the footsteps of our leader Nnamdi Kanu. I ask them to continue to strengthen themselves from one level to the other” He assured them that notwithstanding the number of armored tanks the Nigeria establishment had and the number of guns in their armory that what the people would need to prevail would be not to prevaricate, retreat or surrender.“We should never step back until Biafra is restored” he charged.

  5. When Nnamdi Kanu, during his broadcasts, kept assuring and re-assuring Biafrans that Biafran restoration is not about one, many didn't quite understand the implication of his messages. On many occasions, he kept telling the listeners that if he was not there, his deputy will continue the job and that all the officers, down to the last Biafran were in this for the long haul. His arrest was a chance to test that message and as true as are his words, it has become another truth carved on the rock. Certainly, Biafrans miss him everyday, but as a man with vision and divine purpose, he has ensured that the work is carried on. All true Biafrans are happy that the little administrative misunderstanding has now been resolved and it has in no way affected the goal and vision of the restoration of Biafra. This has once again shown that real Biafrans are people who do not chase rats when the house in on fire. Biafran restoration is now. There should be no distraction. All eyes must be on the Biafran ball.
