Biafrans are seeking their right for self-determination and haven't in any way result to violence since the indigenous people of Biafra started their peaceful demonstration. The indigenous people of Biafra also does not endorse violence and violent methods, that is why i want to state, the following reasons why Biafrans are agitating for self-independence;

Firstly: Indigenous people of Biafra want to enjoy and pass on to their children their histories, languages, traditions, mode of internal governance, spiritual practices and everything that makes them whom they are.

Secondly, Biafrans want a government of their Nation in which they live to respect their ability to determine for themselves their own destinies: they want to freely determine their political status,and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development inside the Nation in which they live. They want to govern themselves in matters relating to their internal and local affairs and also retain their distinct political, legal, economic, social and cultural institutions. They want to educate their children in their own language about their own traditions, and how to worship in their on ways. To participate in any decision making that could have a positive impact on their lives. At the same recognise their interdependent with the country in which they live.

Thirdly, Indigenous people of Biafra want to enjoy the same right as all other people without discrimination of any kind. They want to be regarded by everyone as human begins and not treated like outcasts, slaves and animals. They want to be protected from Genocidal acts, arbitrary execution or extra judicial killings, torture, forced relocation and Oil-exploitation. They want to enjoy the right of freedom of expression, association and religion.

Fourthly, The Indigenous people of Biafra wants to enjoy their right to develop their lands, territories, and resources that they have traditionally owned and gifted to them by God almighty for developmental purposes rather than for personnel looting, corruption ETC.

Indigenous People of Biafra Agitating for self-determination do not mean to undermine the right of anyone else, neither do they mean to undermine the global state system.

REASONS WHILE UNITED NATIONS SHOULD SANCTION NIGERIA

According to UN charter on the right of the indigenous people agitating for self-determination, It  categorically object of a state using force on the people seeking for self determination and expressing their right to freedom of speech. But in Nigeria there are so many gross violation of human right which has lead to loss of lives and properties of the indigenous people of Biafra. Nigeria government uses military to clamp down on peaceful protesters, firing live bullets on them in effort to stop the people from agitating for their rights to seek for a sovereign state and such acts goes against human rights law. Sometimes, defense headquarters and army commands issues a strict warning banning the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) from protesting, such commands goes against the right for freedom of speech and peaceful demonstration by a democratic government. This is not a military regime, but the dictator, Muhammdu Buhari fails to understand that, because he has gone against every law set for a democrat nation and yet the UN is staying quiet. Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra and Director of Biafra radio who was illegaly arrested since OCtomber 14th and have been in prison till date. The ban of staging peaceful protest by the Nigeria Government is a restriction of fundamental human right law, and also a violation to freedom of speech, movement, expression as enshrine in Nigeria constitution of 1999 as amended, in section 33,34,35. Instead of Nigeria government supporting for Referendum for Biafra self independence, they are busy arresting peaceful protesters and secretly killing

WHILE NIGER DELTA MILITANT HIJACKED SHIP, AND THREATEN TO BLEW IT UP WITH ITS CREW IF NNAMDI KANU IS NOT RELEASE WITHIN 31DAYS

It could be recall that several competent court of jurisdiction have order for the unconditional release of Nnanmdi Kanu but president Buhari refused to obey court orders. Buhari insisted that Nnamdi Kanu must be sentenced to Life imprisonment. He flouted court orders that call for immediate release Nnamdi Kanu .

 Since his arrest Biafra supporters have stage many peaceful protest which leads to the dead of not less than hundreds of its supporters in the hands of Nigerian army under the command of Buhari. This act of Brutality and flouts of court orders have attracted sympathizers for BIAFRAN people locally and international. Even the Russian president Putin called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Many Human right group has also call for his release, yet Buhari insisted in detaining Nnamdi Kanu. last weekend, Niger Delta militants Hijacked a ship and threaten to blow it with its crew if Nigeria government fails to follow court order by releasing Nnamdi kanu. How can a sitting president refuse to follow court orders in a democratic government? Niger delta militant hijacked the ship to sympathize with Biafra and call for his illegal detention since October till date.

 IPOB is not responsible for this. But they are of the stand that Nnamdi Kanu must be released as order by COURT of competent Jurisdiction that tries him.
