CITIZEN NNAMDI KANU SUES NIGERIA TO ECOWAS COURT

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra/Biafra Television Citizen Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a Law suit to ECOWAS COURT, against the Nigeria Government for his unlawful detention and incarceration. Citizen Nnamdi Kanu been the plaintiff in this case, has charged the Nigeria Government $800 Million Dollars for damages, through the prosecuting counsel Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor. The plaintiff application is in accordance with;
A. ARTICLES 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 and 14 AND 20 OF THE AFRICAN CHARTER HUMAN RIGHT AND PEOPLE'S RIGHT.
B. ARTICLES 1,2,3,6,9,10,12,22 AND 26,OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONVENANT OF CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS.
C. ARTICLES 2,3,5,7,9,12,13,17,20,21 AND 25 OF THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
D. ARTICLE 22 PARAGRAPH 3, OF THE CONVENANT OF THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
E. RESOLUTION 2625(XXV) OF THE UNITED NATION CHARTER OF 1970.
The Leader Of The Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra/Biafra Television Citizen Nnamdi Kanu, was unlawfully detained by the Nigeria Department of State Security on the 14 of October 2015 and was not granted bail for over 90days against the Nigeria Constitution. Justice Adeniyi of Federal High Court, Abuja had on December 17, ordered for the release of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu,from the custody of the DSS based on the applications for fundamental rights enforcement by the defendant counsel. The Department for State Security of Nigeria refused releasing Citizen Nnamdi Kanu from their custody as ruled by Justice Adeniyi and decided to arraign Citizen Nnamdi Kanu on fresh charges of treasonable felony on December 23, 2015, before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of Federal High Court Abuja. Justice Ahmed Mohamed who took charge of the case in Federal High Court Abuja, exempted himself from the case when the defendant Citizen Nnamdi Kanu stated in Court that "He won't be trialed by a Judge who won't let Justice prevail and also by a Court, where its ruling is not been obeyed". Justice John Tsoho had the case transferred to him and ruled on the 29th of January that Citizen Nnamdi Kanu shouldn't be granted bail, but will remain in Kuje Prison Custody.
