BUHARI'S AMNESTY IS NOT NEEDED AND HE SHALL BE CONFRONTED.

BUHARI'S AMNESTY IS NOT NEEDED AND HE SHALL BE CONFRONTED.

By Chima Onyekachi

For Family Writers

It is either President Muhammadu Buhari is in outright ignorance on the real happenings in the country he presides or he is been given wrong counsels by his trusted aides and allies. Buhari in his usual junketing across the globe, in far away China threatened to "crush" those responsible for blowing up oil and gas installations in Nigeria. Buhari gave directive for the invasion of the creeks of Biafraland by the Nigeria Navy, Nigeria Airforce and Nigeria Army in search of the Biafra "Avengers",the siege in the creeks resulted in the destruction of properties and killing of innocent Biafrans, and the arrest of innocent workers on surveillance but no freedom fighters of the Avengers were arrested.

The Avengers had carried out a seamless and massive attack on the Okan offshore production platform of Chevron located in Warri, Delta state. Chevron’s spokeswoman, Isabel Ordonez in a statement quoted ““Approximately 35,000 bpd of Chevron’s net crude oil production in Nigeria are impacted". The General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, Chevron Nigeria Limited, Mr. Deji Haastrup, confirmed the figure.

President Muhammadu Buhari also ordered the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete EkweIbas, to ensure that all waterways and platforms were protected against further attacks by the militants. Nevertheless, more massive attacks have been carried in various oil and gas installations in Bayelsa and Delta states, which has resulted in a huge decline in Nigeria's revenue which depends heavily on oil production. The Egbesu Water Lions and Isoko Liberation Movement have also threatened to join the Avengers in crippling the economy of the Nigeria.

Spokesman of the Defense Headquarters, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, told Newsmen that the Avengers are faceless and invisible; hence they come out from their hiding, blow up oil facilities and disappear into thin air. He said several attempts to track them down have met brick wall, consequently the security forces have become handicapped and helpless. Buhari in his usual dictatorial stance has declared a state of emergency in the riverine regions of Biafraland, even when it is clear the Nigeria armed forces is still in a herculean task of defeating the BokoHaram Islamic militant turned Fulani Herdsmen Terrorists.

Muhammadu Buhari has come under pressure from Britain, and major oil producing companies operating in Nigeria, especially Royal Dutch Shell Group, and has decided to dangle the "amnesty carrot". Buhari after meeting with the General Manager, Business and Government Relations, Mr Simbi Wabote, the Managing Director, Shell Companies, Nigeria, Mr Okunbor Osagie, the Upstream Director, Mr Andy Brown, Minister of State For Petroleum, Mr Ibe Kachikwu and Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari; "urged militants in the Niger Delta to drop their confrontational stance and work with his government to review the Amnesty Programme initiated by the Yar’Adua Administration." He went ahead and assured the oil companies of the safety of their assets located in the region.

I want to enlighten Buhari and all oil companies operating in the oil rich region of Biafraland that "amnesty" was never one of the demand made by freedom fighters in the creeks of Biafraland who are responsible for the recent attacks, which has dwindled Nigeria's oil output and  revenue. The demands by the Biafra Avengers is the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and Director of Radio Biafra/Television, whose bail has been granted by various courts of competent jurisdiction but flouted by Muhammadu Buhari. Another demand by the Avengers is the total clean up, restructure and rehabilitation of the region which can only be made possible by the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. Buhari should continue with his amnesty programmed he has set up for his "misguided brothers" - BokoHaram Islamic terrorist turned Fulani Herdsmen Terrorists.

No genuine freedom fighters in the creeks of Biafraland will accept his amnesty, any dealings with any so called militants is at the country's peril. Has Buhari ever visited the region since he became President? Instead he sent air raids of banned Napalm bombs on innocent Biafrans in the creeks and villages of Biafraland, in the guise of fighting kidnappers. Buhari gave directive to shoot at sight on unarmed Biafran protesters which resulted in deaths, disabilities and life threatening injuries of innocent men and women in Biafraland. Buhari should know that little children in the streets of Biafraland uses his name in their mockery songs, he will not be welcomed and should stay off. Even the so called ex-militant who participated in the fraudulent amnesty scheme of the last administration are in grievances and are no longer interested in been called Nigerians. Ateke Tom, Tompolo, Chief Edwin Clarke should respect themselves and keep mute in their cowardice to speak out against the oppression on their people.

I urge the oil companies not to be deceived by President Muhammadu Buhari and so called "Niger Delta" elders, only the release of the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will calm the freedom fighters in the creeks of Biafraland. The oil companies must respect the wishes of the freedom fighters in the creeks and vacate their workers, let them be aware that the safety of their assets in the region is not guaranteed, because Buhari and his Islamic armed forces will be confronted if Nnamdi Kanu is not released.

  1. Just imagine Mr Okunbor Osagie, Mr Andy Brown, Mr Ibe Kachikwu and Alhaji Abba Kyari; all spilling out trashy nonsense to dare urged militants in the Niger Delta to drop their confrontational stance and work with his government to review the Amnesty Program initiated by the Yar’Adua Administration. It is as if these stunts don't understand that the hell merger has expired and the amalgamation time is over. Mr Okunbor Osagie, Mr Andy Brown, Mr Ibe Kachikwu and Alhaji Abba Kyari should carry their evil amnesty advice as far away as possible from Biafra. Biafra want nothing to do with the zoo jihadist Islamic genocidal murderous Nigeria country.
