APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN MUST JETTISON CARNALITY ON BIAFRA.

APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN MUST JETTISON CARNALITY ON BIAFRA.

By Chima Onyekachi
For Family Writers

When news filtered in that Apostle Johnson Suleman the Senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, OFM, spoke about Biafra and the publication was sent to me. After reading through the reportage, I told them my colleagues of Family Writers that Suleiman is either speaking with his carnal mind or the news outlet might have twisted his statements for their benefit. Though I was glad when he spoke out against the state religion bill promulgated by the Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, but I have to respond to his said statements in the reportage.

Apostle Johnson Suleman has advised the Igbos in the country to put an end to the agitation for the Republic of Biafra but he must understand first, that Biafra is not about the Igbos alone. I believe clergymen are supposed to acquit themselves with basic knowledge of true history in order not to blunder in the name of prophecy.  Did GOD ask only the Igbos to stop? What about the people of Izon, Ibibio, Igbanke, Idoma, Isobo, Itsekiri, Isoko, Igala and Efik? Should they also quit or didn’t GOD make them Biafrans first before Fredrick Lugard of Britain forced them to become Nigerians?

He also claimed that Biafra is dead and buried which is quite myopic and smirks of gross carnality. Please who killed Biafra and where is she buried? Anyway, as a Christian and clergyman, does he not believe in resurrection and according to the Bible, GOD has given us the power to raise the dead isn’t? This generation of Biafra has exercised that power and with Chukwu Okike Abiama on our side we shall make sure Biafra is not killed or buried. If he is conversant with what is happening in his dear country Nigeria, he must have observed that Biafrans are dying for the sake of Biafra, exactly the way early Christian died for Christianity, so people like him can’t be able to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without been persecuted.

Apostle Suleman went on saying “The Igbo cannot even rule themselves, they should go and sit down. “There is IPOB, MASSOB, you can see that they are already having division. You have not been able to rule yourselves and you want to rule a nation, it’s not possible.” I had to laugh when I read this part because it showed clearly that the clergyman actually lacked both physical and spiritual insight on the present struggle for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. Actually, if there is division in the struggle for Biafra then there is even a deeper division in Christianity with the various different denominations like Catholic, Methodist, Jehovah Witness, Anglican, Pentecostal etc. Why is there different organization like Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), governing clergymen in Nigeria? We are all aware of the crisis always rocking CAN, and the desire of Suleman to take over from Rev. Ayo Oritsejafor. Biblically, Paul separated from Barnabas in other to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and he succeeded immensely. It is on record that Paul never met Jesus Christ but wrote most of the books in the New Testament, Which Apostle Suleiman uses in preaching to his church members.

He went ahead and said that Biafra is not achievable because the real people who would have fought for Biafra are no longer in existence. Is Apostle Suleman trying to say all the Biafrans in his church are spineless and not real? Well, this is a wonderful revelation for Biafrans attending his church to look themselves in the mirror and see how worthless and useless they are. But Apostle Suleman is wrong about the non-existence of real people outside his church, because only real people will face battalions of gun carrying Nigeria armed forces without arms or fear. Only real people will die for what they believe in. Can Apostle Suleman die for Jesus Christ or for the sake of Christianity? It is so sad that modern day clergymen like Apostle Suleman will remain silent while innocent Christians are being slaughtered for protesting peacefully. I bet some of his church members must have also be shot and he doesn’t care to know, Prophet Elijah of the Bible would never have kept quiet in the face of a dictator.

I took a hard breath before I could make myself accept that Apostle Johnson Suleman had prophesied all those trash.  I don’t have to explain to him what the book of Isaiah says about Prophets who mislead their people. Apostle Suleman must understand that Biafra is not a trivial issue, that requires carnality to discuss in his capacity as a clergyman. He must wake up from his comfort zone and truly seek the face of the true GOD over this issue, before making any further utterances. Apostle Suleman should go back to the Old Testament, and study the freedom of the children of Israel from Egypt. The true GOD will speak to him if he seeks him in truth and in spirit.

  2. Didn’t this so-called apostle Johnson Suleiman sound like a war genocide and hypocrite Gowon? Suleiman is a false prophet. Who made him an apostle anyway? A Muslim terrorist and liar, who embraced Christianity to deceive gullible citizens and biblical ignorant in order to enrich himself. He’ll live to see Biafra come and in no time, see Biafra become the super-power and giant of Africa – politically, economically, technologically, etc. I hope that all Igbos in his church will leave immediately and go some where else. And by the way, it's time Biafrans get out from churches led by northerners and SW pastors. Majority of them are false pastors. You are being brainwashed and deceived.
