BIAFRA CAN EXCHANGE HER OIL FOR HER SOVEREIGNTY

BIAFRA CAN EXCHANGE HER OIL FOR HER SOVEREIGNTY

I was on a podcast where Nnamdi Kanu was in the spirit, his reverberating voice and commanding tone, blowing on the loud speaker of my radio. I amplified the volume of my radio and my friends were gathering to hear that fearless voice. We were waiting to hear “The zoo must fall” that is the phrase that makes us go agog. I turned on my radio late, that very day there was a traffic jam, I came back late and so I did not meet his opening prayer that makes me feel Chukwuokikeabiama. I could recall he vividly said that oil is nothing, he confidently assured that other resources in our land can give us more than oil and he said “If they want, let us sign agreement, they can take our oil or they can have uninterrupted supply of our oil but give us our freedom”

He cited that Malaysia learned how to plant palm trees from Biafrans and that is the source of their economy. He said we can make mountain move with just the palm trees scattered all over Biafra land. He again talked of the coal in Enugu; he reminded that China survives on coal, why can’t we survive on it. Lime stone among many other natural resources he made mention of. Oil is not our reason for demanding freedom, as a matter of fact, we don’t need oil but need our freedom. Britain can take the oil, US can take the oil, Russia can take the oil, and anybody can take the oil and give us freedom.

“We can trade anything for Biafra; any other place is negotiable except Biafra, we can negotiate our oil and negotiate everything we have but Biafra is not negotiable” a top IPOB officer said when I contacted him in a normal chat. He was just so flexible, making it clear that everything goes for Biafra to be restored “Our freedom is more important than any other thing, imagine being in a country where you die for other people to live. These people exploit us, they take everything at the detriment of our land, no infrastructure, no social amenities, nothing is on this land that feed them, but go to the North and West and you will ask is this Nigeria?”

People often view 1967 civil war as a war for the oil, had Biafra no oil, they would have not been conspired against and murdered gruesomely. Britain played a remarkable role in making sure that Biafra was brought to her knees because they have a share of the oil in Biafra land through the Northern oligarchy. “They fought us because they knew we have resources here, they cannot survive on their own so they opted to kill us and take everything we have. The civil war was a conquest of people and their resources. They took the oil after killing us and yet denied us freedom, we are slaves by conquest and this is a serious case. It would be better we negotiate and trade our oil for our freedom. US can sign agreement with us, Britain can even do same hence our freedom will be given” a veteran who simply identified himself as Captain John told me.

“We are ready to fight again for Biafra under Nnamdi Kanu’s command, that child has made us proud” another veteran who sat close to him said. He smiled curiously as his wrinkled face squeezed further to make bigger and significant wrinkles, old age is all over him but his brave heart is ready for more time on the battlefield. Nature has its own power and the body often disappoint the mind of man, the urge to run will be there but the leg to run with has already been raved by season.

“What is oil? Go to Imo state, go to Anambra, go to Delta, go to Bayelsa, go to Igweocha and Akwaibom, you will realize oil has made us lazy people. We are scientists, we are artisans, and we can do anything, oil is nothing compared to our freedom. We can sign and agree on percentage with people that will assist us get Biafra. We can exchange our oil for our freedom any day any time” another veteran who was with them courageously said.

“What is that that made Britain leave Christians that are natural allies for Muslims that are enemies to her Majesty’s values and norms? A British citizen has been illegally detained for months and her Majesty is not reacting significantly. Her Majesty denied knowledge of crimes against the people of Biafra because of oil? If what is at stake is oil, I think Britain will gain more in Biafra than in Nigeria because Nigeria depends on oil but Biafra won’t depend on oil which would give them chance to gain more. I am convinced Nnamdi Kanu will negotiate, if Kanu can choose death for Biafra, he can negotiate oil for Biafra” Efobi Anthony ventilated.

Britain as the creator or owner of Nigeria is continuously being blamed for everything going on in Biafra, her shambolic role in 1967 and her continuous hypocrisy, while Britain has right to leave where they don’t want to stay via EU, Biafra has no right to leave the Nigeria they don’t want again. Britain could not rightly protect her territorial integrity when Scotland conducted referendum to leave, but they would oppose referendum for Biafra. While this may be the difference between a white and a black, I compel Britain to embrace sanity.

Oil has turned the bane of Biafra instead of blessing, interest is at pace which derails humanity and poses threat to human right. If oil is the bane, Biafra is ready to get rid of it; Nnamdi Kanu is ready to negotiate how things would be for Biafra. It is very certain that Biafra will come or Biafrans and her oppressors will die. Everything is being considered this time around because Biafra has been made a religion to Biafrans.

  1. The Christian South Sudan signed such agreement to continue to give Islamic Sudan oil. So, oil still flows from South Sudan to Islamic Sudan today. Most of those agreements were also reached between the 15 republics of the former USSR. So, why can't Biafra allow the zoo to continue to pipeline oil to Kaduna, where IBB and Yoruba conspirators built the biggest oil reserve in Africa! But oil is not only the issue. They need Igbos to survive. The Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba traitors are lazy bunch. They may have to import brains from other parts of Africa and world to survive. Some tentative pool estimate about 2 million Igbos in the U.S alone - with all kinds of achievement and professional skills. Please let these bastards go their separate ways. However, Igbos must unite now and work together. Unity is strength. God bless the Republic of Biafra – Land of the Rising Sun.
