ND AVENGERS MUST BEWARE OF BUHARI'S NEGOTIATION OR THEY'LL GO THE WAY OF TOMPOLO

ND AVENGERS MUST BEWARE OF BUHARI'S NEGOTIATION OR THEY'LL GO THE WAY OF TOMPOLO

By Paul Ihechi Alagba

For Family Writers

It was during my late teen years in the early 2000s, when the name Government Tompolo reverberated across the Niger Delta creeks, he was a dreaded guerrilla warlord and a nightmare to the Nigerian military. Pipelines bursts open at his command and the torments to Obasanjo's regime never ended.

Had it not been that their agitation wasn't directed properly, the name Nigeria could have been long gone among committee of nations, the sufferings and marginalisation of the people could have been a history, and the Niger Delta Avengers that is resonating across Nigeria today and even deafening Buhari's ears could never have emerged. Tompolo and his boys slaughtered freedom fighting on the altar of resource control and the catastrophic consequences has been a re-occuring decimal ever since.

Today, even Tompolo has been caught up by the consequences of his mistakes. He now lives in regrets because his vomit which he went back to lick has infected him with a deadly diarrhea. They have forcefully taken the oil at his backyard and chased him away. His glory has departed from his people as in his own eyes, those who granted him amnesty invaded his hometown, raped his sisters, killed his brothers and desolated his house. They have ridiculed his name with different sets of fraud allegations and the once roaring lion has been reduced to a silent inconsequential Tompolo.

Now, the ball is in the court of the Avengers. While i love their resolve not to dabble into waste of innocent lives like Buhari's kinsmen known as Boko Haram, or resort into kidnapping like their predecessors, i must make it known to them that the true resolve and strenght of their struggle is about to be tested. There is every need for them to beware of the tricks of Buhari and his cohorts to unveil their mask and turn them into ordinary security men of the creeks.

Niger Delta Avengers must not deviate from freedom fighting and dabble into 'resource control activism' because it will spell the beginning of their failure. What the people needs is freedom, not the scam of resource control. It is only when you get your freedom that you can be able to control your resources.

Buhari and his British allies are now desperate for negotiation because the people are now claiming back what belongs to them. It is now certain to the whole that the only reason why Nigeria is still in existence is because of the Oil in Biafra land. This is why Buhari can open his mouth to say that he feels irritated whenever we claim that our naturally inherited resources belongs to us.

This oil is the reason why Britain will always tell you that they support the territorial integrity of Nigeria at the expense of the people subjugated inside it. This oil is the reason why Buhari and his cohorts are hell-bent on committing genocide just to make sure they retain their oil wells. This oil has turned to be a curse to its rightful owners, this is why Niger Delta Avengers must never compromise in their struggle. Let the oil drain if it will guarantee the freedom of the people.

Let it drain if it will force our oppressors and those who thinks they are born to rule to evacuate our land. Niger Delta Avengers must never allow this oil be the basis of their struggle, the freedom of the people is paramount, anything short of this can only proffer a temporary solution which will certainly boomerang.

We can't afford to repeat the mistakes which has enslaved us for so long. If Nigerian government wants to negotiate, they must first of all come to terms that it is time to say goodbye.

  1. Good-Luck Jonathan might fall into the temptation of Britain, Buahr, Obasanjo and Obama to be the hometown boy that they would want to use to be the spoiler in the ND. Good-Luck Jonathan should not use his position as ex-president to keep Biafra in ever lasting slavery of divide and rule of Britain period!!!

  3. Excellent write-up. The truth is so simple, clear, evident, powerful, and irrefutable. The only reason for so-called 'one Nigeria' is because of crude oil. If crude oil has been in the North or SW, Nigeria would have been divided or easterners would have been enslaved and islamized. Even with the oil in Biafra land, we are marginalized and oppressed. Imagine, if we do not have crude oil! The NDA MUST NOT make the same mistakes that MEND and other Niger Delta freedom fighters made in the past accepting crumbs. It's either we get our freedom this time or we become slaves to Hausa/Fulani jihadists and Yoruba traitors.
