SAHARA REPORTERS AND THE PROVERBIAL BROWN ENVELOPE JOURNALISM

SAHARA REPORTERS AND THE PROVERBIAL BROWN ENVELOPE JOURNALISM

By Ifeanyi Chijioke

For Family Writers

There is no special hatred for this media outfit, I am just always pissed off, more especially when I see them blabbing and making mockery of journalism. I started neglecting Sahara reporters the day they raised media campaign against Nnamdi Kanu. They accused Kanu of possessing fire arms; they accused him of terrorism and even blatantly lied by uploading a picture it said was from IPOB protest whereas it was from another scene. Those were deliberate effort to destroy our hero and also evidence that they are sufficiently being paid by their master. Even the story of how Kanu was arrested, the twists and turns from this media outfit began to make me think; there is neither pride, integrity nor any atom of dignity in them.

The worst thing that can happen to this present society is when the mouth that speaks or eyes that see for the people is lobbied into seeing only the enemies and talking only against the enemies. A politician that stole one billion is better off than a media outfit that took one hundred thousand to remain biased or assist immorality. I have some facts I will extract before the end of this article that will convince you, you will wholly admit that Sahara reporters is nothing but a hopeless wayward prostitute that fell in love with a criminal.

What ever that was given to Sahara reporters, it is time for them to vomit it before stomach-upset makes them excrete it shamefully. It would be better they take back everything Buhari and APC gave them, be it a gift or token of thanks for a job well done. It is time for Sahara reporters to vomit and be fresh again. Every government needs criticism to be perfect, but because Sahara won’t vomit, they can’t blame, see foul in Buhari or equally face things.

It is shameful that a media outfit can choose to be a tool in the hand of the government of the day. I always try to make Sahara reporters embrace reality and stop hallucinating, Jonathan’s government they fought ostensibly is over, the fight should not continue with Jonathan because it is being obvious that it is a personal thing, government is a continues thing, Buhari should be faced if at all war is so much loved and needed by them.

I am on this column once more because I detest professional irresponsibility and stupidity, I read with anger where one Mr Emmanuel Uchenna Ugwu was thoughtlessly listing people that must vomit. This hopeless Hausa/Fulani blood, his mother was impregnated by a Northern fool listed Okonjo Iweala, Jonathan, Madueke, Metuh and only listed Dasuki who is from North. Dasuki’s inclusion was simply because he has personal issue with Buhari and Buhari today have a means to pay back. When Dasuki slapped him and hand-cuffed him, even went as far as incarcerating him, which cost him his first marriage, I wonder what he was doing when it was clear Jonathan would throw in the towel. I will act like Buhari but I would go through the law court and not just throwing him into detention.

The hopeless writer only faced his people, leaving other thieves that must vomit; thieves only exist in PDP and in Biafra land. Even our own major thief that stole for Buhari’s campaign UK mail exposed, this hopeless Sahara reporter’s journalist failed to list him. There was no thief from West and North; all other past leaders did not steal; only Jonathan stole. Buhari and Abacha did not steal, Obasanjo did not steal, Yaradua did not, only our brother stole; only our mothers stole and only his people if at all his name is true. This is a man that saw the four walls of university but could not understand the four walls. While the North run to the defense of their own, the West same, this intelligent ‘MUGU’ Mr Emmanuel Uchenna Ugwu slit the throat of his own like there is any saint in Nigeria. Show me that politician that is a saint that did not steal, let us try and have general view of things before coming out to write headless essays.

Men today act like babies when money is on the table, they see no reason to blame their pay master or critically face things for perfection. Buhari has paid enough that he even said let the media tell me the minister he would remove or tell him how much he has done. He is confident that he would be laundered and considered. But that is just the beginning of deceit; I wonder what this contraption will become when Biafra must have gone her separate way. I will be looking at Sahara reporters as a media outfit that lived on the ‘proverbial brown envelope’.

  1. Sahara Reporters is owned by Tinubu. Don’t you notice that the Igbos working or writing at Sahara reporters have ruined their careers. Shame to all.

  2. This article by Ifeanyi Chijioke is an errant nonsense that defies logic. The myopic nepotism exhibited in the write up points to an immature mind with stunted growth.
