Open Letter To Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, The Obi Of Onitsha
The floating of a security outfit by the Obi of Onitsha, Anambra State, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, at this point in time, has proven that he believes that the Nigerian security operatives are no longer in control of the safety of lives and properties of the people. He agrees with the argument that insecurity is at an all time high and our people have long been subjected to untold terror as a result of security challenges. Pa Achebe also agrees with the ideology of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), headed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on the need for a reliably vigorous security outfit as a line of self defense for the entrapped indigenous Biafra citizens. One thing that has actually not gone down well with the floating of this security outfit is pa Achebe's unexplainable dead silence of shame all this while that his own people were being massacred by the Fulani Islamic terror mercenaries masqurading as cattle herders. Why have you been silent all along when you could float a security outfit?
Today, it is evidently clear that the only thing that matters to these treacherous political tyrants of particularly Igbo extraction, is the threat to their positions and authorities which they have callously wielded in their subjection of the people to untold economic hardship.
Overtime, farmers have been complaining about the strangulation of their businesses by the Fulani mercenaries who use their cows to destroy farm produce, kill or rape those caught within their farmlands, depending on the gender involved. Igwe Achebe never saw it as a duty to float a security outfit to protect the farmers from the menace of the deadly Fulani Islamic terrorists.
Just suddenly, because the loyalty of the people has switched towards a dependable volunteer security outfit called the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and his authority over the people is being threatened, the Obi of Onitsha now remembers that the people need security to protect their lives and properties.
DOES THE OBI OF ONITSHA THINK IT IS BUSINESS AS USUAL?
The people have now woken up. The time for pettiness and deceit is all over. I never knew the Obi of Onitsha could wield such powers as to single-handedly float a security system and yet in his intellectual daftness, looked the other way when youths were being gruesomely murdered and thrown into EZU RIVER with their organs harvested.
The Obi of Onitsha kept mute when the Nigerian security officers operated under his watch, a human abattoir in the name of Akwuzu Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) command. He kept mute when peaceful protests were termed acts of war by the government of Anambra State which he himself is a stake holder with scores of men, women, children and youths hunted down like animals for rightly demanding for better lives for their generation.
Floating a security outfit at this time cannot salvage your already lost authority sir, which you sold at the altar of treachery and nepotism. The people have had enough of the system of failure which you and your likes have profited erroneously from to the detriment of the economic development of the citizens you claim to lead.
It is time therefore you either take a stand with the people on their support for the best line of defense they have had after decades of years in Eastern Security Network (ESN) or yet hide your face in shame. It should be remembered that the voice of the people is definitely the voice of God. And to the man on the streets, he prays daily for the success and fruitfulness of the ESN to successfully guard and defend the lives and properties of the indigenous people who live within Biafraland. If you are unaware of this very thanksgiving and new found hope hovering over and around the territory of the Biafra restoration project with regards to the installation of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), then the social media amongst others, can ably guide your thoughts.
Sir, in your capacity as the Obi of Onitsha and with the little dignity still left of your throne, it is wise that you do not join the oppressive government of the Nigerian state to aid further subjection and penury against the people whom you claim to serve. Just remember sir, that integrity remains the key factor of leadership.
Thank you!
