MEND IS SPINELESS AND NOT RECOGNIZED IN BIAFRALAND

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, through its spokesperson, Jomo Gbomo, has finally spoken and has made it clear to everyone that they lack foresight and knowledge. The handicapped militants want to remain slaves to the Northern Nigeria Oligarchy who owns 90% of oil wells in their so called "Niger Delta", which is the riverine and oil rich region of Biafraland. MEND claimed it had carried out “rigorous and robust analysis, debate and review of political events in Nigeria within the past 12 months" which has been ridden with autocracy, nepotism and tyranny as administrated by President Muhammadu Buhari. MEND gave its full support to Buhari as he marks his first year in office and blamed ex-president Goodluck Jonathan for the current hardships and economic woes been experienced in Nigeria. MEND also begged for the release of its leader Henry Okah and his brother Charles Okah, who are been imprisoned in South Africa and Nigeria respectively.
I am not bothered about the stance of MEND since it is a group that is basically made up of illiterates and self-serving militants, and has lost grasp of the true feelings in the creeks of Biafraland. I want to enlighten MEND on their ignorance about the BIAFRA AVENGERS and the current struggle for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. MEND should not have bothered to disassociate itself from the Avengers, because it is clear the Avengers are on a different mission from theirs. MEND are militants who engage in cultism, kidnappings and political killings while the Avengers are freedom fighters who are seeking for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra and the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra,IPOB, and Director of Radio Biafra/Biafra Television. The Avengers have carried out their attacks which has plummeted crude oil sales in Nigeria without harming anyone, and will easily crush the rag-tag mercenaries of MEND if it attempts to become saboteurs, in the struggle for the restoration of Biafra. MEND is at liberty to continue to believe in "one strong united Nigerian federation" but are surely in a deep illusion of getting "principles and ideals of Resource Control, True Federalism, Rule of Law/Respect for Human Rights, Democracy, Free Enterprise and a Vibrant Civil Society" in Nigeria.
What has happened to the reports of several National Conferences that has held? Has Ogoniland and other creeks of Biafraland polluted by oil exploration been cleaned up? What happened to the host communities’ derivative bill? Is it right a maritime University duly established by a previous government is scrapped unjustly? Who owns 90% of oil wells in Biafraland? Why is James Ibori in prison while the likes of Atiku Abubakar and Olusegun Obasanjo are gallivanting in and out of London? DSP Alamaisegha was harassed to his death while the likes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu are been visited by British diplomats? There is no weapon to fight BokoHaram Islamic militants but enough weapons to send soldiers to invade Biafraland. How long shall the oil rich region in Biafraland continue to live in pains and lack of infrastructure, while the resources from their ancestral land is used to develop Arewa and Oduduwa lands?
MEND is been used by so called ex-militant leaders in collaboration with corrupt politicians in Nigeria,to distract and cause confusion about territories belonging to Biafra but has failed in their "divide and rule" antics. Every true born Biafrans has awoken and will no longer be deceived. The current struggle for the restoration of Biafra is spearheaded by educated and well fed persons, and shall not be compromised by the "amnesty carrot" been dangled by President Muhammadu Buhari. The freedom fighters in the creeks have sworn to lay their lives like the peaceful protesters shot dead by Nigeria armed forces in Onitsha, Aba, Ugwuocha and other parts of Biafraland. The release of Okah brothers from jail is welcomed, but not a guarantee to dialogue in any parts of Biafraland if Nnamdi Kanu is not released too. MEND and other militant groups should be sane enough to know that the amalgamation treaty churned by Frederick Lugard of Britain has expired, they must speak out now or remain silent like cowards. We do not need resource control but freedom for our nation. Biafra is older than Nigeria and must be restored with or without MEND.
