BUHARI SHOULD FIGHT TERRORISM IN NIGERIA BEFORE OFFERING TO HELP GERMANY

Munich shooting: Buhari offers help to fight terrorism in Germany
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday the 23rd of July, 2016, expressed shock and horror at the shootings which recently rocked Munich, Germany where nine people were killed and 27 injured by a gunman. In a statement issued by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to Nigeria’s president on media and publicity, Buhari said: “On behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Buhari sends his most sincere condolences to the families and friends of victims of the barbaric act. The president says it is quite unfortunate and inconceivable that the forces of evil do not relent on their activities, but expresses confidence that with the unanimity of purpose from all forces around the world, the workers and perpetrators of these evil acts will not prevail. The president also assures the people of Germany that Nigerians as a people are standing with them at this time and are ready to assist in any way to defeat the planners and executors of such crimes.”
Sincerely this incident that occurred in Germany is tragic and horrible. Looking at the way Islamic State militant groups are now terrorising the world, it really calls for a serious deliberation and action. But what I can't phantom is President Muhammadu Buhari offering to help Germany fight terrorism. How does president Buhari intend to help Germany fight terrorism? Am not mocking Buhari, but I really needed to ask that question. This is the same president who have been travelling from one country to another begging and pleading for help and weapons to fight Boko-Haram in Nigeria. Buhari also went to Germany to ask for weapons and equipments to fight terrorism in Nigeria, so what are his plans to help fight terrorism in Germany? He says if Germany needs assistance from Nigeria, he's ready to offer them. Why can't Buhari implement those tactics and strategies in Nigeria to help tackle Boko-Haram?
Boko-Haram, an Islamic extremist group based in northern Nigeria, has killed over 30,000 and displaced 2.6 million from their homes. The group was also alleged to have carried out mass abductions including the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls from Chibok in April 2014. One of Buhari's campaign promises before he was elected president was solemnly based on his plans to defeat Boko-Haram in six months if elected president. Buhari has failed woefully in that aspect. He has even denied that he promised to defeat the Islamic extremist group within such period. President Buhari needs to stop making a comical of himself. Saying he will help Germany fight terrorism, while Boko-Haram has taken over the Northern part of Nigeria. He should focus the little resource at his disposal to fight terrorism in Nigeria, instead offering to help Germany fight theirs. I believe Germany is more than capable of handling issues of terrorism within their country, but I can't say the same for president Buhari and Nigeria.
